Does this modify existing beliefs or just add new ones? It's impossible to tell from the description and pictures. Would civs choose random symbols and beliefs (and names?) or are they predisposed to chose certain ones, particularly the boring classics of Catholicsim, Judaism, Islam, etc., unless you tick the box that randomizes everything?

As to mod conflict, I'm guessing that any mods that simply add beliefs will not have a problem, but perhaps mods that alter existing beliefs would?

My desire with civs choosing religions is that they would choose options that were not the classic icons, names, history, and any prescribed beliefs. How would I best go about doing that?

I also love having as many icon options for my own founded religion.

Thanks for this mod. The amount of work, hours and details you put into this is simply mind-boggling and worship worthy. You are a true mensch of modding.

For video game religions have you considered making separate mod versions for users who want those and placing them into a collection folder? Also some suggestions, maybe the RS lore universe religions?

Zarosian, Saradominist, Zamorakian, Armadylean, Serenist and Bandosian etc and symbols for them?

I'm trying to make my own religion icons mod for some I can't find on the workshop, but I can't figure out how to use my own art assets and the example project in the tools just reuses the custom sea turtle icon. I've tried to find a guide and come up empty, do you know of one or have any tips?

Hi! Thanks for your interest :) I might add more religions in the future, but only if Civilization VI gets a new add-on or DLC. I really loved this game, but the lack of a real scenario editor really annoyed me. :/

I created a german translation for your mod. I already did this for Tomatekh's historical religions. Since Im a big skyrim fan I wanted to play with my nine divines.

Hi,

It's been a while since I've tried this, but if I remember correctly, you need to remove the current leader's favorite religion, then you insert the new one. Here's a successful attempt with Poundmarker.

I know there is also a priority issue for the mod so you might need to add those lines either on my config file, or in your modded leader's config file.

Sorry, not really a pro at this, as I always randomize the religions in my games. :)

Mod has been updated for GS compatibility. Tomatekh also helped me fixing the color issue for the Settler, Appeal and Government lenses. Everything should work well now. Enjoy! :)

Hi! I know Tomatekh's mod changed a few things regarding graphics - my mod only adds religion icons and doesn't change any existing designs. Thus said, I haven't tried my mod on GS. I'm planning to fix the compatibility issue tonight or by the end of the weekend.

Because the add-on is less than 48 hours, expect other potential bugs, but I'm sure the modding community will fix everything over time. :)

Okay, so I downloaded the update for Tomatekh's Historical Religions and that seems to have corrected the bug with his mod.
Unfortunately, when I run the game with this mod (Zebenji's Additional Religions) active, the bug occurs.
I'm not a modder for this game, so I don't claim to understand what could be causing it, or how to fix it. I just wanted to bring it to your attention.
I tried numerous times starting up a brand new game for each individual test, running each with that mod running and this one disabled, then with both active together. I even went as far as to exit the game and restarting it during my tests.

As stated before, the issue seems to be that when this mod is running, the "settler" and "appeal" lenses break, showing all hexes in a light blue colour, rather than being colour coded to what they represent.

I hope you can look into it and find out the cause and fix it. :)

Sorry, I posted that before I realised the mods could be enabled regardless of the "incompatible" message.
I have noticed, however, that when Tomatekh's Historical Religions mod is activated since the Gathering Storm update, the "settler" and "appeal" lenses fail to work. In both lenses, the color code fails to work properly and everything appears as a light blue color.
The mod itself works as intended, but for some reason breaks those two lenses.
Since your mod requires Tomatekh's mod, I am unable to test if your mod may affect them as well, but it could be something you might want to check out just in case. I'll make a mention of the issue on his page.

I really hope Tomatekh fixes the issue soon so I can go back to playing with The Children of Atom! :D

Each religion can be customizable. However, if I leave all the fiction religions as custom, there won't be anything left, as there might be only a dozen historical + modern religions. If you want to make them customizable, you can open ZRK_Config, and in the "Insert Religions : Part II" section, turn the "RequiresCustomName" value to 1 (0 by default, right next to the two-character religion ID). But the goal of this mod is to bring "strange" religions to the game; if I remove them from being chosen by the IA, the "strange" part is gone from the mod. :/ I hope Firaxis will allow religions to be renamed when they're founded... but I also hope they'll release a real scenario editor. :D

Hi! The problem with customizing religions is that you can't give them a default name. So if I make them customizable, they don't have default names, don't show up in the Civilopedia and they can't be randomly chosen by the A (if that option has been checked). :/

Great mod. My girlfriend is a huge Dishonored fan so you should totally include the religion that exists in that game.

That said, would it be possible to make your religion's name customizable? I understand the vanilla limitation that Firaxis didn't include it for the base religions (i.e., christianity, Islam, etc...) to be renamed but wouldn't it be possible to make your religions part of the ones that allow renaming? (I hope this makes sense, I'm not sure if I'm articulating the thought correctly.)

Hi there! Last game update didn't change anything regarding the mod. I'm (very) slowly starting working on the next mod update, which should include around 30 new religions, including some suggestions I had here and most of religions from Civ5 Strange Religions Mod. No release date announced because I don't want to stress myself about it... and creating graphics are the most painful part to do, as I'm not really good at that :) So thanks a lot for your patience.

@Frenchkiss35: No prophets or religion mechanics are added. There's a great mod called "Expanded Religion" which already does that (quite brilliantly I must say!). As for paganism, it's mostly a term used for people who were non-Christian in Late antiquity (people who were still into Hellenism, Druidism... or people who were not converted yet, like the Vikings or American First Nations, among others). I started to include some Neopagan movements; but Tomatekh added quite a lot of more Historical religions in his mod, most of them being considered as "pagan" at that time of History.
