@Akashi Zetsugou, not quite so, main idea is to make planets with 'terraforming candidate' modifiers to be colonizable and thus visible on galaxy map. Note, not every toxic/barren/molten but only those having related modifier.
As for terraforming, they can be terraformed to _some_ vanilla classes and then second terraforming will do what you want. Gaia and Toxic requires related AP, yes
Akashi Zetsugou 17. juli kl. 2:22
@Gogabor Hello just a quick question, to see if I understand correctly, this mod doesn’t change anything but just allows worlds that normally wouldn’t be able to be terraformed to be terraformed into specific habitable types of planets? If so can I then terraformed those habitable planets into Gaia worlds with the ascension perk or no? Also do you still need the Toxic world terraforming ascension perk to terraform those?
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 11. juni kl. 1:17
@Aki Zeta-9, no, mod doesn't spawn more candidates,
Aki Zeta-9 31. maj kl. 17:46
Does the mod spawn more candidates when the habitable worlds set to rare? I have like seven candidates in the huge galaxy.
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 23. feb. kl. 5:44
@Braden, can you specify the problem? Do you mean you have planet with terraforming candidate modifier and planet was not changed to new type?
Braden 22. feb. kl. 16:47
hey why are only barren worlds changed ? does anyone know how to fix it
PLMMJ 11. feb. kl. 6:38
Gotcha
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 11. feb. kl. 1:52
@PLMMJ, just candidates
PLMMJ 10. feb. kl. 9:00
Does it completely overwrite the worlds or just the terraforming candidates?
ZacharyBuilder 28. nov. 2024 kl. 19:32
Tried for myself many times. It is compatible with planetary diversity
킨제유만 8. nov. 2024 kl. 15:25
Is the mod compatible with 'Planetary Diversity'?
acki02 26. maj 2024 kl. 3:28
Is the mod compatible with Guillie's Planetary Modifiers and/or with All These Worlds?
Vril 28. jan. 2024 kl. 2:28
@b_barrett97 i have the same issue.
Knyghthawk 16. sep. 2023 kl. 9:18
still working?
B_Barrett97 8. juli 2023 kl. 20:30
I can only terraform barren worlds. Molten, frozen, toxic will not work. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?
Straszna & McWandal 10. maj 2023 kl. 5:02
Will be update to 3.8?
Take the meds 20. mar. 2023 kl. 17:14
Suprised this still gets updated
Trunko 16. mar. 2023 kl. 10:23
Hope it can be updated soon.
prassel 4. nov. 2022 kl. 14:35
can you please make a version that only tracks candidates since all the other mods for that are dead. i dont want any increased chance or changes to how the way things play like "balance"...
John Shepherd N7117 3. okt. 2022 kl. 8:37
Does this allow me to terraform worlds that were turned barren after they were habitable once before?
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 14. sep. 2022 kl. 1:45
Realm Walker, mod doesn't change that in any way
Realm Walker 13. sep. 2022 kl. 12:29
Does this mod influence the number of habitable planets? It seems to me that it lowers their number even more.
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 5. juli 2022 kl. 0:43
@hypersot, thanks for feedback. Yes, machine empires have advantage there, due to their +200% habitability trait. I was trying to reduce that effect by negative modifiers but that is not enough it seems. As for anomaly, it wasn't planned to happen so often, but it seems when pool of anomalies is shrinking it start to happens often and often, because this one can happen more than once. I will reduce its chances, probably it is worth to base that on amount of stars and add a maximum cap or so.
hypersot 28. juni 2022 kl. 7:51
Small feedback:

I played with the mod extensively and I have to say that, while it's an interesting idea, the fact that the 'candidates' can be colonised from the very beginning makes any machine empires (and anyone who disregards habitability) get ahead way too much too early.

In all the games I've played, machines own like eg. 35+ planets when everyone else owns 3-5 planets with top empires (eg. player's) owning maybe 10 tops.

When the time comes where the Bio empires can unlock the appropriate tech, the machines are so far ahead that only the player can touch them.

Also, the anomalies creating habitable planets? That results in a huge amount of planets that can be colonised. I don't think the mod's description mentions how powerful that is.

Thanks
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 21. juni 2022 kl. 7:34
@hypersot, only existent TC are converted. Mod adds also anomaly which might appear on uninhabitable planets and add TC modifier to them.
hypersot 15. juni 2022 kl. 19:10
One more question,

does the mod choose 'candidates' from already existing terraforming candidates or does it switch other types of planets as well?
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2022 kl. 23:52
@hypersot, all I can do is just to configure ai_weight. Considering negative modifiers on planets I've set weights to be quite high for terraforming if there is enough resources. So technicaly AI can terraform from candidates type to any ordinary one as soon as they have resources, Machine, hive and lithoid does that less likely,
hypersot 13. juni 2022 kl. 16:28
How does the AI handle the new terraforming options added by this mod?
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 13. juni 2022 kl. 3:14
@Lyssid, done
Lyssid 12. juni 2022 kl. 4:54
Hi, i play on German Language and the mod show only variable strings. Can you please fix it that it show the English text?

Thank you
Knyghthawk 13. maj 2022 kl. 6:53
Love this mod! can we get a ver update please.
Pater-Bies Highstone 22. dec. 2021 kl. 13:29
It doesn't seem to work for me. Venus remains a toxic planet and I can't terraform it. Doesn't show up in the expansion planner either.
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 27. sep. 2021 kl. 23:29
@Obi-Wan Kenobi, some planets have that modifier already, like Mars, some may get related anomaly during survey
SlayingMallard0 27. sep. 2021 kl. 21:09
@Gogabor Neither have that modifier. I'm fairly new to this game, do I need to survey the planet first or something before, say, a toxic world becomes primordial or a planet gains the Terraforming Candidate modifier?
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 26. sep. 2021 kl. 1:25
@Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mercury and Venus don't have Terraforming Candidate modifier, do they? As far as I remember only Mars have it in vanilla. If your Mercury and Venus do have it, that could be result of other mod and that modifier is just different. Could you open planet view and check there is modifier named 'Terraforming Candidate"?
SlayingMallard0 24. sep. 2021 kl. 1:33
This mod doesn't seem to be working for me, for instance Mercury is still a molten world and Venus is toxic. Any advice or fixes?
ItzRaiden 26. aug. 2021 kl. 6:43
Am I able to terraform Titan with this mod?

Also could someone link me a realistic sol system mod that is in 3.0? All the good ones were left behind when their creators up and left
EmprahProtecc 10. aug. 2021 kl. 8:00
I believe the planets shouldn't be colonizable without the terraforming. It's ok with robots, but Machine Empires just go full "it's free real estate" mode... And MEs were already pretty OP without that.
Aldernut 1. maj 2021 kl. 22:59
Thank you.
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 1. maj 2021 kl. 16:56
Terraform links added for gaia, hive and machine worlds
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 27. apr. 2021 kl. 5:15
@Aldernut, thanks for checking, I will make changes to keep the same perk functionality
Aldernut 26. apr. 2021 kl. 10:23
@Gogabor, just checked Stellaris/common/terraform/02_special_terraform_links.txt.

Both Barren and Barren_cold can be terraformed directly to Gaia with "World Shaper".
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 26. apr. 2021 kl. 6:15
@Aldernut, that is intentional, first I want to keep impression they are harsh worlds and even with perk you need to make intermediate step first to terraform them into a normal planet.
I don't remember though how vanilla behaves on planets with TC modifier, is that possible to terraform them into gaia directly with that perk? If this perk is so powerful then I could make changes to allow that too
Aldernut 26. apr. 2021 kl. 5:43
Great mod!

However, I think there might be a bug: After taking the "World Shaper" ascension perk, there is no option to terraform the candidates directly to Gaia worlds.
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2021 kl. 7:55
Updated for 3.0.1, some changes were required to make it work again. Should be still working on 2.2.+, so feel free to report any issues with both 3.+ and 2.+ versions if any
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 23. jan. 2021 kl. 4:38
@cyvaris, should work for saved games as well but may require some time to happen, if you have non-surveyed planets try to survey one, this should trigger event to find all TCs.
I could consider to make that on monthly pulse or so, checking this more often would be expensive
cyvaris 22. jan. 2021 kl. 14:03
Does the mod require a fresh game to work? Doesn't seem to be doing anything in a game I already have going.
BrokenMidnight 1. nov. 2020 kl. 11:24
Sorry to harp here, but would there be a mod similar to Advanced Terraforming? I tried to update that one to my own personal use, but I just can't figure out how to mod this game. Im asking here, since you have experience with terraforming tech and was wondering if you would help me deal with that, or check it out? Seems modder for the mod I mentioned has not paid attention to the game since after 2.2
Gogabor  [ophavsmand] 23. okt. 2020 kl. 13:33
@cblue22, it should be more often after update. In short, with Planetary Diversity mod enabled there are many terraforming candidates after galaxy generation so anomaly spawn chance was set to small value otherwise there would be just huge amount of TC planets in game. Contrary, without PD mod the spawn chance to get anomaly was the same small value so there were few TC in galaxy as result. After update the chance to get anomaly without PD mod was increased.
Cblue22 22. okt. 2020 kl. 16:41
it was at the start of the game so idk
