Mr. Chiweenie, simple. Because it's a true to real life map as requested by multiple people, which means that both the number of lanes will be less than the usual multilane highways, which also means that I have to balance out the traffic demand and distribute the connections across your start square, so you don't have massive backups one just one or two connections (this is what happened on Lugo map, I've learned from that one. It makes it near unplayable). Then, the choice of start square location is as always limited by balancing the need for water resource where fresh water and sewer water can be safely placed in the same square, as well as the max buildable area in the start square. The choice of using smaller highway connections means that. The beata was a request, and as the internet meme says "I do what I want", but also you don't have to subscribe to it. So, there's a ton of planning and factors that go into what I make and why I do what I do

Left out the Batea Vigo, no idea why that was even included. Completely useless and surprised it was put in.
I've never had too many start square connections but now I have. I am a huge fan of MrMiyagi's maps but find this one a bit baffling.

Absolutely, Overlord!! That's what I made A Coruña map with - it's a perfect theme for this region. Khanador uses it for his Donosita map.

Would you recommend not so rocky theme?

Wait, I am a celebrity in this thread? :D Thanks for all the kind words guys! As the great Mr.Miyagi have explained, its VERY difficult to share my city. What I wish for with Cities Skylines 2 is an easy way to share cities, like Google Earth, where you can roam around in other peoples cities. That said, this is probably the most beautiful map I know about, everyone should get it and build their own beautiful stuff on it :)

I'm guessing you mean Funchenstein's amazing city? We all want that city :D but he said it's not possible. Without going into a long explanation, he said it is not possible to share it because all the buildings are his local-copy RICO adapted builings. He's right, so take it from me on that :D I have begged him to do it diffferently for a future city :D You should SEE his city on Fjordland map

Temperate Coast by Pdelmo is also really beautiful looking on this map. There are a few shots with that theme, too. Any theme that someone created with temperate template will work. A good portion of the most beautiful themes in the workshop are temperate based

Hiya. This map is intentionally left without a required theme so that you can choose whatever you like. Hidden among the text up there ^ is the theme names you see in the shots:
"Your choice of any temperate Map Theme. Pictures show mostly MarkFire's Monte Belo theme and some my Temperate with Blue Green Water theme "

What is the theme and LUT used in the screenshoths?

It is SO amazing isn't it? He says he uses almost all buildings that he has as converted personal copies of others* buildings he's converted to local RICO buildings, so he can hand place each one (amazing!), so without going into a huge explanation as to why, that means it would not be possible for him to share his cities. I wish!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Alanra :) That's why I love the game and its workshop that makes it so easy for creators to share with everyone. There are over 20,000 maps now available, and so many creators with different styles. That way everyone has a good chance of finding a map they love and a creator's style they like. I like to make a few different types. Usually I have as few requirements as possible, with no mods required, but I have an exception almost ready. It's an autumn map with a lot of required items. A LOT :D But yes, other than that, I always want to leave the design and building up to you all. I'm not very good at the city design stuff (which is why I make maps haha)

I want to add (as I can't alter my comment below, or change the grammatical, or spelling errors ), the layout induces thought, the contours demand respect, yet it's obvious a lot of thought and detail has gone into this map, yet as a player of it, I feel free to do as I want.

There are no rollercoaster unrealistic rails or roads, Bridges or tunnels fit. But Skyline even with same strcutures will look great.

Thankyou for making a contoured map, without dictating by so many assetts or flat areas or anything else how you the makers want us to play you creation, but leave us to work it out .

I have grown so tired of map makers showing off and almost saying ruin it if you dare, as they have ploughed so many hours into their creation, others actually playing on it is a second thought and doing anything on them doesn't feel as game intended. So Thank you both once again :)

I especially love how my logistics are gooing to work on this map and not make it ugly :)

hi mst.mafias, I have a few other requests in the pipeline and I'm slower lately, but I was definitely thinking about another Galicia map. I had Noia and Ortigueira as options, but A Coruña makes a little more sense. Great suggestion :) It will be a long while though

inofiss you have to first build a harbor to see ships, Tthey will start coming into view once you build their harbors. Same goes for the planes - you need an airport first. It will take a little time, there will be only a very few ships / planes to being with

I want to strangle that junction so badly.

@MrMiyagi Yeah, that looks like the intersection that was causing problems for me too, and I eventually solved it on my own pretty much like you described. The traffic just stops for no reason, but re-building that area seems to work :)

@Froudini and all, it is indeed called Young Highway for me, too. The part that causes the problem is just inside the 25 squares, so you can actually fix this in your city save without a cross the line mod (thank goodness). So even though I deleted and remade the entire junction inside map editor, it STILL does this when I start a new city, but just at this junction. Deleting and remaking that one junction while in-game (as opposed to in map editor) was the only way to fix this "ghost stop sign". See this image, which circles the problem junction. http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=930953272 To see it in action, hit play and watch the cars. Notice they stay in one laen and make a full stop as if there is a stop sign. Pause. Remake the junction, do not use any mods while making the junction (no anarchy mode, don't use Move It, etc. Now hit play and if the vehicles no longer pause at the junction, you've fixed it.

@Froudini I'm glad you messaged. Can you take a screenshot of where the backup starts, zoomed a little out so I can see where this is by the visual look of the location (the name may be different inside map editor, I believe names are randomly assigned). I found this also in a junction myself. I went through and remade all the intersection junctions in the map (lol) after finding that, which seems to correct the issue. I believe the backup might be related to using Move It! on the junction of two highways All cars come to a complete stop as if there is a stop sign, not helpful at all on a highway

@Archer Hi Peter!! @ItsDeckyah it won't work without Mass Transit because it uses the new highways from Mass Transit. I've laid down a number of the small highways (the same as National Road in Network Extensions), and the highways I built use the advantage of the multiple new lane options to help manage traffic flow for you

I don't know why but for me trees on this map aren't loading. Tried it with themes and without as well ad with mods and without - it's just a naked map and that's so boring compared to what I can see in the pics... any ideas? I'm probably just overlooking something obvious :D
