i love this so much, the first time i saw those spiders in swamp trees i literally gasped "Those AREN'T TREES!". it would be cool if you can fix the hitbox problem, the spiders ate the entire city of Shark, they can't be hit with harpoon either, basically invincible

Would be nice if the giant spiders had more loot on them.

You cannot melee them at all - and ranged is very borked - u can get some hits on them - but u gotta point blank their legs and wait for bleed.

Mod is broken, sucks because when I found one - it looks bad af.

Also the rewards are freaking terrible. You get a little bit of rotten meat, like 1 animal hide, a couple animal teeth, and a couple animal claw, all in all not even worth 2k in cash. It will never ever be worth your time to kill these, even if you take the time to engage them with range, since as previously stated, they cant be engaged with melee.

This mod does not work at all. They do not attack your gates or walls, and you literally cannot attack them with melee. Your characters just keep trying to get under the spider. The model is way to big i guess, this needs fixed

Seems nice for awhile until you decide to fight them and realize that the model doesn't allow for fighting since your characters will never throw an attack. The spider model is too big and the AI keeps trying to get "closer" to the center but get stuck near it's legs. Anyone reading I recommend avoiding this mod until the modder fixes it.

Cool concept, but bad rewards and impossible to kill without cheesing.

These things walked out of the swamps into the borderlands, over my walls and killed everybody in my outpost.

these things scare the shit outta me! im not sure if its just my reshade but their limbs seem to blend in perfectly with the trees.. im on my blood and sand playthrough i did not know these things exist, i spent early game grinding in the fog so i thought i had this game by the balls, came to the swamps and started growing marijuana and my guys kept trying to fight something but nothing was there and it one shot my strongest fighter, still wondering whats attacking i saw a leg move and looked up...

Powerful AF just when i tought they werent that big a BIGGER one comes out and bitch slaps my duses in the air, it took my super human to take him down and he took alot of damage. Gonna use them as my war pets to attack the holy empire ty for these beast.

Killed one and got 5 meat, a couple claws and a hide.
The thing was bigger than my walls, I thought I was gonna feed my residents for days. :(

The Adult/Elder Mutant Spiders are nearly impossible to engage with melee. Might be because of MC and MCA ? Not sure. But even with ~65 combat stats and polearms my squad doesn't engage them. Just circles, blocks and gets wailed on by the spiders. I tried boosting their stats to 100 to check if that would change it, but nope.

I love this mod so much

My first time in the swamps: I walked in with a group of 7, doing pretty well fighting bandits and such. Night fell, i keep making my way through when i get a popup that we found a swamp village. Now, as curious as i am, i start making my way there. I noticed something.. Odd.. A tree branch moving.. I went a little closer and saw the Mutant Blood Spider, promptly turned around and ran out of the swamp.

Honestly, i forgot i even had the mod installed, scared me pretty friggin badly. The legs blend in with the environment to a scary degree, makes it FAR worse if you got a mod which makes nights darker..

for is gargantuan size, you would think it would do slightly more damage than a leviathen not like 30 times it.
if it gonna be nerfed it should be rewarding to kill it, I.e Alot more skins/Alot of worth while guts to make money off of

The point of these spiders are not to fight them, it's to have a constant danger in the swamps that you should avoid. When you have a base, then you will be safe there!

yes i think The speed and attack speed should be lowered. She is already OP.
needs to be balanced

Tbh this thing should be 'Nerfed" by making it abit slower. that damn thing is crazy

Yeah, this still works perfectly. Just be careful not to fight them without an army. They can literally one shot you and die! I got my head crushed by engaging them. Usually they are not agressive but they will attack if you get too close!

I did also notice that sometimes the spiders rush, but it happens very rare and I think it's a game setting that is not under my control!

preeetttyyy sure he means theyre stupidly fast... ive seen one go at what looked like 15-18 mph judging by the leg speed but he was moving like 5 times that fast cause his strides were so big... also ive never seen anyone able to hit one everyone stands around and just gets crushed.
love the idea though bro! maybe just on a slightly smaller scale? like between baby and adult levi's? just a suggestion:)
