It's most likely another material which overrides it, so if you can't see it still go to:

And move the materials folder into your garrysmod folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod for me).

I've checked. I had them uninstalled. I've tried deleting and reinstalling this one too.
