I agree with colt_james. Even if it might not be easy to create a 3D image like that, she could definitely look more feminine without breaking Firaxis' parody style.

The garments are literally from a Chinese TV show. You're talking out your arse.

And Wu's clothes and the architecture behind her are more like Japanese style not Chinese.

To be honest, Wu Zetian looks more like a man with a wig. Even if Wu from Civ V isn't an actual representation of when she began ruling, she still looks better than this. Unless you changed the art for her and didn't update the preview? o.o

It just doesn't show up when I try to select it when picking a civ. I dunno what I'm doing wrong.

the general features (except the jaw) look fine as she became emperor when she was 60 but the hair looks like that of a geisha and the dress is more similar to that of a concubine, yellow is a very good colour as it was specific of emperors. I know I might sound very nitpicky but Wu Zetian is a very important figure in Chinese history and I think she deserves a good representation (for what is worth it I wasn't a fan of her design in Civ V)

Really great mod and loving it. But, man that art tho. She was the emperor's favorite so she gotta look somehow pretty not a manly square face. Everything else is just perfect.

Thanks for the consideration, good if you do not need to modify the .modinfo or the status and skills of the alternative leaders, just downloading the files in my dropbox and placing in the mods folders the translations will already work 100% sure.

Hello, it's cool to see you updating your mods to Rise & Fall, I love them. I always wanted to translate the workshop mods into Brazilian Portuguese, I learned to do this using yours mods as a base (because yours mods have a Chinese translation), and I ended up translating all of them.
The last two mods you updated (Wu Zetian and Tang Taizong) have not had any balancing changes, so my translations still work. I have a link to these translations in the Civfanatics forum, if you want to take a look.

The japanese "Kimono" dress, I thought, was inspired by the chinese "Hanfu" [en.wikipedia.org] dress.

The costume of this character is not Chinese clothes, but more like Japanese kimono.

While I like the direction of the new artwork, I think that it needs some additional work. Her face is obviously ripped straightly from Gitarja, and it's not just the elements like it's usually done but the whole face (with an exception of the eyes). Nose, eyebrows, ears, lips, her overall smirk all give an impression of Gitarja. Having the leader that looks pretty much exactly like another leader is sligtly offputting. I don't think that the artwork is terrible like some people do, but I believe that some additional touches to make her look less "Indonesian" would be a great improvement.

Can you please change back to the previous Empress Wu art? The picture of her was much prettier and looked like an older version of the Empress Wu from Civ 5, in the new one, well, she doesnt look like Empress Wu at all
