Just tried, but didn't work. The layout is still the same.
I did rename also your file from macrobuildinterface_override_override.gui to macrobuildinterface_override.gui
Extremely quick (and not 100% sure it'll work) fix: open the zipfile for my mod and add the following file [www.dropbox.com] to the folder "interface" inside. I'm assuming it will take priority over all other mods. However, disclaimer, I think it will use vanilla font.
