Just an idea. Due to over consumption of certain resources, Ivory/Coral/Orca, if it's still being harvested at the information era or stages in the environmental hazard meter - it disappears or begins to generate grievances with other nations.

Some resources are revealed at later eras - asbestos could be a industrial era bonus resource that reduces appeal by a large amount in the information era.

Your's is one of my absolute favorite mods. Love it!

Sorry for bothering you, but not Steam not Firaxis helped here, and this is an updating issue I can't resolve. The mod is fine, I can update it if I make a separate mod, but I can't update this one.

I won't delete this one. You can continue using it. Just make sure you deactivate this one if you use Resourceful 2.

@Altaic I just finished the last resources I think necessary: farm resources, but Steam Workshop Uploader gives me an error when I try to upload it. I tested them and it works fine, but I don't know why the uploader refuses it with the error "result invalid parameter". Also, I don't find any guide of how to resolve it, so right now the project is halted.

Chinese support is allowed, but people have to give me their translations. Now (although not updated to the last ones) it supports mandarin and hong kong? I'm not sure.


@MigGui If you want to add lions to plains, just add in NewRes.xml a new line for RESOURCE_LION where TERRAIN_DESERT and add TERRAIN_PLAINS. You can customize spawn, yields, etc, there.

I don't see why tigers and lions is a problem, but many different jewelry wouldn't be. Or many different fish, or many different crops, or many different stones. I love the additions, and would only like it more if lions weren't restricted to deserts and could appear in plains as well.

Sharing an opinion and an insult are not the same. We'll have to agree to disagree on the wisdom of splitting major categories into ever less recognizably universal amenities (or that amenities showing on the board should be culture-specific ones). To me, lions would best be an amenity provided by a Roman great merchant or Roman-based city-state or modded into Trajan's Entertainment District. That would allow "cultural specialization" rather than having every culture's distinctive amenities spread all over the world. This would make it possible for other people to make mods like that without having culturally unique items showing up in two places during a single game. It's completely fine with me if you don't agree with that approach.

I would never consider taking the work of another and uploading it myself. The resource-based mods we've made (my spouse and I) and shared in our Workshop are our work and always will be.

Tigers, lions and wolves are much more important than just for its furs. They had an important role serving as symbols of many civilizations, being symbol of strengh, fury, etc. Also, lions were being used in roman circus, and, after that, in many other entertainment buildings. Tigers have even temples and reserves for them. Wolves are the most important predator, along with bear, in Europe. That's why I think these have to be added.

You can also save your own opinion if you want to insult my work. Really. I don't need to read sarcasm here. If you don't like Resourceful, just unsuscribe or modify whatever you want for your own game. Just don't upload it to Workshop because this is my work, not yours.

I think the addition of all the different items of a major resource like furs (tigers, lions, wolves) is really just silly. I've made my own mod to remove these among others. I like Resourceful, but it was good as it was. Splitting things up into everything under the sun doesn't add anything to the game other than icons, and what is the point? Really, what's next...every single chemical on the table of elements and every spice known to mankind? If this continues, I'll probably unsubscribe and use what I have or make my own resource mod. In my opinion, unique types of general categories should be reserved for things you get from city-states or great people. Dumping them all over the map like this makes it so that there is just nothing special left. Not good.

WSFL doesn't add resources, but it modifies some yields. Again, it worked yesterday... I'll ask the same question of its creator and see if they have an answer.

@the_neon_gothic I don't even know which mod is that one. I haven't modified anything in Resourceful, so it has to work with the same mods which worked before, unless the other modder changed anything that modify/add resources my mod already does.
