Modding this game is cursed and I decided tonight to just release it as is and save myself from getting more headaches. I even tried manually editing out the popping from your original audio files and the game still was adding pops in-between when it plays each file.

It's not quite as nice as I'd like, I'm bummed out I couldn't get the weapon sounds from AvP or A:CM to loop properly, but oh well.

Been working on it most of the day, not having a ton of luck. I recorded some gunfire from A:CM to use, as well as tested with other Pulse Rifle sound effects from various sources, but no matter what I do with this game it doesn't play nicely with the audio. Audio popping is gone, but now there's like a very obvious fraction of a second gap between when each gunfire sound plays and it sounds ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Which is weird, since making fully automatic weapon audio in other Source games like L4D2 and Gmod is pretty easy, I've never had issues like this. I'll keep toying with it, but unfortunately I don't think I'm gonna figure out a solution.

The Smart Gun sound effect is bugged, it only plays properly if you fire a single shot, otherwise it just keeps playing the first millisecond of audio over and over. There's also a popping sound happening with the Pulse Rifle.

If I work on some better sounds for this, would you mind me uploading that for others to use? I'll leave everything else the same and of course credit you and Flogger.

I know that it SHOULD be obvious, but it would be really convenient to add which weapons that these skins replace. Based on the description, I'm guessing:
M41a 'Pulse' Rifle - Standard level 1 rifle
M59 'Smart Gun' - Level 1 auto gun
M240 Incinerator - Flamer

Smartgun audio should be turned up to match the pulse rifle.

The volume of the sound of the smart gun is too low, and seems distorted.
Total covered by other smaller guns.

really great though I love the scanner, pulse rifle, and flamer. Just make louder and fix autogun.

can you fix the autogun sound. It sounds really laggy and bad. Look up the autogun sound it sounds like the pulse rifle. Make the sounds louder for all of the guns.

been looking at the possibillity of porting Colonial marines models for SMG/PDW and shotgun ect Also any info on porting Avp2 or Colonial marines player models?

We do have reason to believe that a xenomorh may be involved.

Good mod but the rifle cycling sound needs more work, Colonial Marines has THEE perfect sound for the pulse rifle/smart gun fire. Try and get those if you can!

I'd have to mirror everyone else's sentiments - fantastic mod, just the autogun sound doesn't work too well. I'll sub again when its fixed, until then I'm using it with the autogun sound file removed :)
