No stat increase.
In this mod, Yogurt levels up, but his stats remain low.
Tried save scumming to see if it's the RNG's fault, it sometimes does this with NORMAL characters when they level up, sometimes increasing no other stats other than the level number during level ups.
Oh and totally unrelated, I wish there was a mod that addresses this RNG problem during level ups and some stats of a level 20 character did not carry over once they are promoted...
Thankfully, Shining Force 2 does not have this problem when I promote them at level 40 and making them OP AF.
The workshop mods are created by taking the original rom and applying a ppf or ips patch using the appropriate patching tool, in the end you have a rom file containing the original game and a rom file containing the patched game, using the workshop tool allows you to upload the patched rom file as a workshop mod for others to download.
Popular emulators like Gens have the ability to load ips and ppf patches along with the original rom to do on-the-fly patching which means the original rom file will not be altered when playing with a patch.
The mod works correctly, it's the emulator that has issues. If you want the best experience use retroarch, gens or kega fusion.
Also I'm not the author of the mod, I had been using the mod for years before this emulator was developed so I uploaded the mod for others to enjoy using.

Learned that the hard way since I'd rather not use save states if possible, and had to start over from the beginning after my first session.
