I personally don't really see anything to bad with the ads. It kinda shows like "oh ok, they made this prop pack" or "oh, I should check this out"

But though, I haven't really SEEN these ads, but from what I have seen from other addons, it just says like "Thanks for downloading _____'s addon" and "Head to __________'s discord for more updates and future addons" xD

I still to this day can't figure out why the text advert was such a big deal.. I've seen plenty of mods with "Joe Blows Mod - Loaded" in the text box when launching maps since forever in gmod lol.. To this day I wish I had been able to get more models ported, but that time is far behind me now..

Honestly lord tyler is just trying to advertise the server he builds which takes alot of work if you actually take your time and check it out for acouple minutes. Sure it is annoying a message popping up but if you dont know how to extract an addon and remove it your self, you should not be making/running a gmod server and for those who are just in single player, just google it. Complaining to the people who make the addon just piss them off and make them dont wanna remove it at all.

why add an advertisement in the first place?

99% of people honestly don't care about who made the addons they download unless they experience alots of errors with the mod and contact the mod dev.

If you're going to put adware, make it a single message, not a recurring message or your addon will get taken down.
