@dibdabdeb .. That sound like audio recording option has been turned off in the wallpaper settings. If not, then you might have to check WE's settings on audio recording. Might also be worth checking ( not sure if this is still a thing ) if WE's volume is set to 100% in the volume mixer. But if my wallpaper does not react, it means I am not getting audio data from WE.

Oh, and just remembered this page: https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/ . Check the left for the section "Audio". It has pages on audio related problems. Like "Audio visualizers do not work"

Just popping in to say this is the best wallpaper EVER! I've been aimlessly hunting for that perfect wallpaper, and once I saw there was a POKEBALL I was sold. The audio response is also the best I've found yet! My boyfriend got home, I showed him this wallpaper and how amazing the audio response is, and now he has this on his computer with the pentagram lol. I wish I found this sooner!!!

@karateka104 That would be a "bug" within wallpaper engine itself. The individual wallpapers do not handle the audio processing and just the processed data from WE. So when the recording device is set to "default" instead of a specific device, it doesn't seem to automatically detect the device change and tries to process the audio from the old device which has no audio anymore My guess is that by toggling "audio recording" it will check what device to use before processing audio again. If you would like to see it fixed you need to post it on the bug forum for wallpaper engine.

very nice wallpaper, the only issue i have with it is that when i change my audio output from my headset to speakers for example i have to reset the audio recording of it in the settings. That may be because of stream deck, but a "bug" i noticed

Best customization options I've ever seen - I especially like the Equalizer explanation and the little window that pops up and visualizes the changes you're making as you make them - it really contextualizes terms that get thrown around a lot for non-audio people.

@Futari Lollies An attempt to answer ( within 1000 chars ):

I am all for people reusing the wallpaper's code ( any of mine ) if they transform it into something new ( emphasis on transform ). Everyone already has the source as it's just ( very sloppy ) javascript.

As for just handing it over to someone; not right now and I would really have to have a good feeling about the person. If I had the time and energy I would consider cleaning up the code and putting it on github, but that has bitten me in the ass several times before so even that is something I would have to think about it. Might all sound selfish but I just want the best for my little projects and not just give up on them and hand them over to a random person.

And at the risk of sounding rude, I know its fairly minor but right now I really do not have the energy or time to spend on it. If you would really be interested in improving/adding features bug me again in a couple of months.

@Squee do you plan to allow someone else to carry out your legacy and update the wallpaper?

@Futari Lollies I am not actively working on this wallpaper anymore and wont be changing anything or adding anything. At most fixing bugs.

@Squee would u please update for more detailed EQ board, I'd prefer to be able to setup all my frequencies from my corsair software and have more precise visualisation

@wenvongro Nope, that is not a feature.

This is a near perfect background, very well done! I only needed to make a few small compromises while creating my dream wallpaper with this. The only thing i missed is the ability to disable the movement of either side of a given line, but it is possible that i didnt notice something in the settings. If i did, please let me know :)

@leowzd: FFT sample size is fixed and determined by WE at 64 per channel. The EQ values; the width is the width in frequencies ( so wider includes more frequencies ) and global strenth is how much the EQ matters ( set to 0 and the EQ is ignored ). The EQ itself is mostly to lower bass as certain genres of music have a bass so intense that it drowns out the response of other frequencies. In general it can be ignored. As for adding colorchord; while im not adding new features I am curious to what ya would hope that it would add. Looking at videos about it it does look interesting and an method of visualisation i havent considered.

Crazy but maybe fun idea: Add Colorchord support. It is open source on Github and runs native on Windows.

Sorry for the slow reply. In all honesty I was in shock to hear that there wasn't an option to sort by filename. The code I used in this one was apparently a fairly early version of the code I wrote to handle the backgrounds. I will see if I can easily update it from a new version so I can add in the option.

@Bartes. Some questions as saving is a bit fussy. 1. Did you wait a while after drawing before changing or refreshing the wallpaper? 2. Might you happen to have 2 or more screens and if so are you running this wallpaper multiple times or have multiple wallpapers of the type 'web' on them?

I draw something and didnt save it but when i always start i have it as default can i change it?

@Патриарх Кирилл If you just want to draw you can enable drawing via a checkbox in the settings. If you have a logo or picture in mind it would help in you have a black/white version of that image. It is then possible to create an outline using Inkscape and then importing it using the menu within the wallpaper ( by holding the mouse button down when drawing is enabled )

- If you have Inkscape and know your way around it, check the discuss "SVG Support Details/Explanation" for more information, or see "Working SVG examples" for already made SVG files ready to download.
- If you don't have Inkscape but do have a black/white image you want the outline from, post a link of the image ( higher resolution is better ) and I will see if I can create an SVG for you.

In way way remove? If you mean the save slots, there is no real delete on those. You could just clear your screen and use that to save over whatever you want removed.

This is a great audio visualizer. one of the only ones im able to get to work.

@Galileo007 .. Open the wallpaper browser and scroll through the settings to the bottom. There you will find a Load/Save/Share JSON and reset option. Click on Share JSON. Open the json file with notepad ( or something similar ) and copy/paste your JSON text into the window and click OK.

I'm trying to back up my custom settings before a PC wipe. I've got the json data saved in files, but how can I input that to load the settings?

Thanks Squee i now have three screens with eyefinity on (so turned into one) so it works fine for now, but would still be a good thing to have.

@Im_awesome04 another update. There is no fix for now, dev will probably look into it but it isn't planned for the near future so it might take a while. If I have any news about the issue I will post a new update here.

A quick update. I might have narrowed it down to a possible bug/limitation within WE. I posted a bug report and the initial reply is that they will check it out after christmas. Will post more once I know more.

K thanks. Idk why it would be working on my main screen tho (besides it being a vizio vs a sceptre) and not my second one. But in the end if you cant fix it ill just not run wallpaper engine on it.

I am able to reproduce. Unsure if I can fix this, but will dig into it and report back. Also I removed your comment about the 15 minutes. Was removing a comment of my own and steam lagged and clicked twice and well .. *poof*

You mentioned a TV and I think its partly due to how a TV works slightly differently than a monitor. My TV is a 3rd screen but when off the computer doesnt even recognize it. It doesnt exist as far as my computer is concerned. When I turn a monitor off, the pc still recognizes it. In combination with that WE stores what is shown per screen, and I have a feeling it has to do with that. I will look further into it.
