I would like to know what this mod does. Thanks
flyons_gary 15. aug. 2017 kl. 5:57
What exactly does this mod do?
Saeko_O 1. maj 2017 kl. 0:31
it does not look like this working for me.
Ruben Thomas 5. mar. 2017 kl. 22:27
This looks really promising, cool, and different. I do feel like alot of the other posters here though, would be nice with some screenshots. Man your mods are so good, I use alot of them, thanks alot for releasing so many great ones, you are a great person =)
Kami 5. mar. 2017 kl. 17:41
Please add preview screens so people can see what they'd be getting.
TlpTop 25. feb. 2017 kl. 10:57
Hey there.
Do you plan to make any preview screenshots?
Gaz ja nai 15. jan. 2017 kl. 8:35
Do you have any plans to change the eyes of some of the units so they are solid black?
kelstr  [ophavsmand] 24. dec. 2016 kl. 11:29
Hey Man !! You need to uninstall the nvidia dds plugin, and install Intel Texture Works plugin :) BUT it won't recognize the alpha channel... sooo there's not much you can edit ATM without causing issues.

There is a way around it, but it's rather complex lol
Crusader 24. dec. 2016 kl. 4:31
Hey Kelstr! I love the look of your mod! I'm actually working on changing the wood elf textures for my own unit mod, but can't work out how to open the new dx10 textures. When I open them in photo shop they all appear plain black, whereas I'm able to edit other textures in the game. Could you tell me what your process is? Given you a rate for your work :)
CaultheShot 22. dec. 2016 kl. 1:47
Maybe mention what the mod actually does somewhere in the description.
aeON 20. dec. 2016 kl. 23:18
No pics???
CSUV 20. dec. 2016 kl. 11:47
Really like your Asrai spear masters - precisely the kind of badass looking units I was missing in the vanila - (where the elves look a little too much like how 50s comics pictured martians)
Green Raven 20. dec. 2016 kl. 3:07
Can we get some male wardancers?
kelstr  [ophavsmand] 17. dec. 2016 kl. 15:34
I'm going for cohesion of infantry units... for the rangers/eternal guards.. rangers should get a different look all together later on
Lurchy 17. dec. 2016 kl. 13:01
Why do the rangers look like the eternal guard ? Would it be a lot of work for you to make the rangers withe the standard headgear but with more armore ?
Apart from that it is an really awesome mod!
Horski 16. dec. 2016 kl. 19:10
I agree, they did a great job with the spellsinger. Putting in a caster that uses magic in combat instead of sword animations was a nice touch. A tankier version of that would be fun to play with. I am just not fond of the hairdo, wondering if you or anyone here has come across a model with out the hair sticking up.
kelstr  [ophavsmand] 16. dec. 2016 kl. 15:51
@Horski... I love the animations and look of the spellsinger... I'd like to create a unit (with way more HP) but obvs less damage... just to have a useable unit on the battlefield !!
Horski 16. dec. 2016 kl. 13:41
You do awesome work kelstr, thank you for your time making these mods! Was wondering what your plans were for the spellsinger retexture/remodel, if any.
kelstr  [ophavsmand] 16. dec. 2016 kl. 13:38
@Holylin it's in the changelog notes on this steam page
Holylin 16. dec. 2016 kl. 13:34
Uhm sorry, I don't want to stop your DX10 rant, but could you maybe add some info what this mod is even about ???
kelstr  [ophavsmand] 15. dec. 2016 kl. 20:00
Sorry I don't understand
sun2003shy 15. dec. 2016 kl. 18:40
Photoshop CS can‘t edit the diffuse and specular, totally black. And Gimp also has some problem when I make some part of the female lord's cape transparent, it makes the cape show different colors in different distances. Did you meet something like this?
SirMadam 15. dec. 2016 kl. 14:38
looking forward to this!
Guvenoren 15. dec. 2016 kl. 9:46
@kelstr oh god. I really hate this update -_- It ruined so much that I worked on that took days to finish. Oh well, thanks for telling me.
kelstr  [ophavsmand] 15. dec. 2016 kl. 9:35
@Demon Spider - you need a transparency or an actual aloha channel... otherwise you have to go through hell close cropping to make your own alpha channel

@Guvenoren - I'm not sure if the Intel plugin works for GIMP
Daemonic Spoder 15. dec. 2016 kl. 5:32
@kelstr thx got that intel plugin to work and the textures are now showing up... For me it's quite obvious where the alpha channel was applied to cus it left a massive hole of nothing where it was... Maybe we could use this?
Guvenoren 15. dec. 2016 kl. 5:01
So, if you have photoshop you can edit the textures?
Ugh, So Gimp is useless now or what?
sun2003shy 14. dec. 2016 kl. 19:15
I really like your work,I am curious about what tool did you use for the texture work and why need Visual Studio which I know is a code editor? Can you give me a hint?
Cannon Party 14. dec. 2016 kl. 17:04
thanks a lot
kelstr  [ophavsmand] 14. dec. 2016 kl. 16:35
@Demon - They upgraded to DX10 based shaders I believe... instead of DX9... the funny thing is other companies made the shift years ago lol

@MajorSpankage - I'm using Intel's Texture plugin for Photoshop... it allows you to open the DX10 texture files... HOEVER the plugin doesn't support the alpha channel infomation when opening... I've posted the issue on the Intel's bug support... no word back yet :(

@Ungrim - I'm not too sure yet... I'm kinda using vanilla models and textures... but for different units... swaping them here and there.

@GunKing - I like the wood grain on the shields... again it's a rough slap in texture to see how it "could" look. As for the color range... I plan to make all units work with primary / secondary colouring... so you can change colors for all units based on whichever colors / mods you have installed :) Mine are unique atm for myself ;)

@CannonParty - will think about that suggestion.
Daemonic Spoder 14. dec. 2016 kl. 15:04
That would expain why the specular and diffuse textures dont show up at all... Jesus CA is just fucking us modders over one step at a time...
Cannon Party 14. dec. 2016 kl. 13:59
Kelstr I thouhgt that if u have any time to maybe make a mod for different color skins for the new forest dragon if is not to much to ask? O and love your mods by the way:steamhappy:
Amarthiel 14. dec. 2016 kl. 9:23
I really like variety mods. personally I think there are too few of them on the workshop, but I am a fan of your work Kelstr. Are you planning to divide the unit visuals? like every third one looks like the original while the 1st and 2nd have different looks? Or are you changing the whole unit? because as I said I'm fond of variety and I'd hate to see the original skins get dumped in the process.
Harambe2016 14. dec. 2016 kl. 5:08
what software are you using to open the diffuse.dss files? I am having a hard time opening them since the update.
GunKing 14. dec. 2016 kl. 1:22
Wood texture on Eternal Guard shields is interesting choice and very fitting... yet not something I would personally enjoy on my army. I like to keep close to the green/turquoise color range when it comes to Wood Elves.

Everything else is rather early in development for me to say anything. Love all your mods though, glad to see there's someone out there who cares about army aesthetics just as much as I do!
Corporal Corn 13. dec. 2016 kl. 23:56
Interesting, will be keeping an eye on this one - good luck!
kelstr  [ophavsmand] 13. dec. 2016 kl. 21:46
Nope :) Changes are posted in the changelog details area... subscribe and do a custom battle, use the units that are in the changelog... that will show you the changes.

Sorry but taking screenshots and comparison pictures takes too much time, and this is a beta mod :)
Rachel L 13. dec. 2016 kl. 21:38
What exactly it does? Can we get some before and after pics?
