Even though this mod hasn't been updated for a long time, it's very good and you should at the very least try it. It gives you a powerful attacker and tamer mount. It's also fast as ♥♥♥♥. I'm mean like, I upgraded it to 215% and it's as fast as my also upgraded Pteranodon, and it took only a few clicks, since each point invested is +5%. It's health, stamina and damage are nothing to scoff at either, they are all very nice. And lastly, the ability to collect venom comes in handy when taming, since it's like biotoxin, except it doesn't spoil. It's absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, I love it.
The only problem I kinda have is that when on the ground, the animation speed looks maybe a tad bit slower than the movement speed(at least on 215%), but that is my only minor complaint. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'll tell this: this mod is old, but still totally fonctionning, and this one of the the most useful mod I've ever used, I love this creature, it may not have been updated since 2017, but I don't think it needs any much change, if you wan't an little OP creature (OP for it's size) then use this mod

The manticores spawn on Gen 2 even without simplespawners. I was suprised when I've found a few of them even after mod haven't received any update since '17. Apparently they have fixed spawn volumes so mod works on every map. Unfortunately, depending on the map, some of the manticores can spawn outside of the map because of that.

for anyone that wants the manticores to spawn on Gen II my advice is to use the simple spawners mod,its very easy to use you wont regret it

That tranquilizing aoe is so OP, especially with flyer grab. I love flying around putting to sleep nearly everything though. The abilities are "jamming" if you spam them - they're dealing no damage, only animation plays. Just press a key once to fully execute them.
The saddle has no textures but it is small enough to ignore that.
Too bad this great mod got abandoned. It is really fun.

It is really a shame that this has been abandoned. This manticore is better than many additional dions I've seen, including some dragon mods. It has excellent features, and the only additional thing I would've liked was for them to breed. Please, make sure to announce when you add the boss mod.

Back with an update! So they can straff, fly backwards, their turning radius is ridiculously good and they are overall a very cool tame to have. You can adjust their speed and other stats using the “Extreme=“ ini option the developer of this mod gave just follow the directions carefully. They cannot swim. They are kinda hard to find but I prefer them to be rare bc again it’s a Manticore. You can adjust how many spawn in each area that Kraken was so nice to explain how to do it in a discussion if you want them to be less rare. I haven’t delved into the breeding process yet with them but I may not breed them. Also speed itself can be leveled as the Manticore levels and isn’t locked like other flyers. But they are rather fast already and their stamina is fantastic. Not glitchy, very well designed and overall very very happy I installed this mod!

Do these Manticores fly backwards and sideways? And can you also adjust their speed?

is there a way to up how many levels it gets? like on our server theres 251 points per dino the manticore only has 73

Is there any chance you could kinda remodel the saddle? The equus style would be nice aswell as the front part of the giga, those strings going to the metal bracelet in his mouth, that would make his big jaw more resemmbling

Okay, I don't think the problem is in this mod because the dinos from "Ancient Dragons and Wyverns" (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1206835819) . Looks like it may be the map itself, but I'm not sure. Waiting for a response from the map's author.

I'm not sure which mod the problem is with, but using this mod on the Lost Continent map (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1404089637) causes the Manticores to spawn on top of the map's ceiling, i.e. they're walking around on the map ceiling and can't actually get down 'into' the map, making them impossible to tame or otherwise interact with. I'm making this post on the page for the map as well, just FYI.

A few months late, but yes Country Heart, they spare just fine on SE . Much to my dismay. Lol

How did I not know you made a manticore mod? Anyway lol.. They're sweet, but is there any way to control the spawn areas you've assigned through ini entries? It sounds like they're basically just 8 chunks of each map by default, but I'd like to place them where it thematically makes sense on Ragnarok (Desert.. maybe the volcano, etc). Not sure how the spawn params you've set varies from the regular SpawnContainer method.
Gonna fly around and check rarity on SP.

I spawned into the Miner's Tunnel map and had no idea what was happening until I'd killed all but one, which I was phew able to tame. Then I couldn't take him with me because I couldn't put a darn tek transmitter down in there. How would people normally get the resources out? Oh wait, I have to ask the map person that. I loooooooooooooooove mini manticores!

I have a question~ Where exactly do they spawn? I know they spawn on the Island and I have seen with ACM that there are 8 on my map but where do I need to look for them?

manticore don't spawn anymore in my server from today, we see only 2 manticore and we make a destroy wild dinos and then they don't spawm anymore (map The Volcano) what can i do?
