Vanilla lockpicking becomes a real chore after more than 400 hours of Skyrim. This mod is a must-have.

Theres another mod which kinda does it better, but you could just master lockpicking, and no, I'm not talking about the perks.

Granted there is a subtle sound that can clue you to when is optimal, though unless you have earphones on, reduce other audio levels low, and still have a steady hand.., it's a nuiscance to do.

This removes the difficulty involved. Now, I'd prefer the Oblivion lockpicking over Skyrim's, though this mod is a good means to cope against audio reduction.

Doesnt seem to be working, have restarted my game and use loot for the load orders...and still nothing. I am using skse, could that be why it isnt functioning.

I've played more than 800hrs on the same Character, I have picked so many locks it is boring, I have also played the game to death on PS3 and will do again on Xbox360.
this cheat allows me to get through the locks real quick and move on the to the rest of the story.

I've wasted so many hours in fallout 3, FNV, and skyrim picking locks, that I can no longer play the game without this mod.

I have The Xbox360 version and I didn't know that the viration was meant to assist in lockpicking. Mostly because I keep Vibration Off to save battery life. (Yes, I use Wireless Controllers.) And before I started doing that, I couldn't tell the difference. (Then again that was like 3 years ago.)

The only reason why I am envious of my friends playing this on the console is just because they have the vibration of the controller. Even with very good hearing skills, lockpicking on a PC game is frustrating. This mod is necessary for those of us using the PC version and do not have the advantage of the vibration that comes with the console controllers when trying to lockpick. Sure, it might break emmersion and some consider it cheating - I consider it necessary due to poor design on the part of the Devs.

@Indolence I think he means console commands. But the thing is, console disables acheivements for the current character. Mods don't.

@Scrutiny well, I suppose you could keep the key, but unless you use some bug you can't both keep the key and advance in the Thieves Guild quest line.
