The non-scaling blocks are an intentional balancing decision.

I personally find huge ships to be boring, so I frankly don't care for them.

just gonna say the choice of weapons is rather bland leaving either max level assault laser or pulse laser as the only effective weapon choices and the blocks dont scale up making the creation of huge ships annoying in the extreme.

I encountered these as a group of agents. Nice ship design!

I don't think there are any other mods purposely balanced around Altered Vanilla.

can you suggest ore altered vanilla mods because i only really play with that mod and feel it is well balanced and adds much more variety

@Mike1Bagong They're more of a counter to the Corporation.
Corporation weapons rely on splash damage to break even; shields render splash useless.

So its a counter to the salines?

@Lily-an Thanks for the tip, I'll reduce the laser width.
Negative width just looks too weird imo.

Lasers with width=20 to 35 will randomly go though armors and shields, sometimes waste many damage and sometimes kill enemy ships by one shot, make this faction quite instable.
If you want to make big beam but donnot want this random effect, you can set them width = -30.
