This is savage. I've actually been spending the last few days making an
Ireland map as well! Using experimental map sizes, I've managed to get it 5121 by 7167, and I've even rotated Ireland a few degrees to squeeze in the maximum amount of land possible. Right now I'm working on putting a few navigable rivers in. In new to this stuff, so while editing height maps and anything with Photoshop comes easily to me, I haven't a clue how to introduce custom trains and stuff like that. If you wanna team up with me, send me a message!

@parkera thank you, unfortunately I'm no longer developing this map but I will likely work on an IE map for Transport Fever 2 since it looks great and has a better map generator :D

Fantastic map and currently using it to recreate the Irish rail network. Two things I'd like to see for future would be add major rivers like Liffey in Dublin etc and change some towns like Trim really serves no purpose and smaller villages added would be good.

An excellent map - really well done. The industries are well placed and balanced, the towns grow very nicely, and it's great just to look at. I've played several games on it now and each has been very different. Congrats!

Thanks for this - It is an awesome map! I love the way the towns spread over time to form huge urban areas... Great for lots of tram systems.

I Love the idea of Irish Transport like Bus Eirean/Ulster Bus, Irish Rail/Dart/NI Rail etc, im from Donegal and always Wished there where trains in Donegal lol will enjoy playing this map into the Future!

great map buddy, hjowever the north is lacking in towns, and as a local, i'd recomend adding towns such as Londonderry, Coleraine, Newry and Portadown, so that the north isn't a empty wasteland

@texascajun2: it should work straight away, it just might take a little while to load as it's a large map. Are you getting any specific errors?

I'm trouble setting this as my map is there a specific seed i need to use with the custom setting? Or is it something i need to set in the game files?

@Baleur: If I can get a little better at map making I might try it, but I'm not from Hong Kong (I'm from Dublin, Ireland) so I would be at a disadvantage haha

@th0ma5: it is a large map but once I get more experienced and manage to work out some of the problems I will work on small and medium versions.

@mrmichael: I've been struggling to find any documentation or tips/tricks on map creation but I will be trying to smooth it out more. The mountainous areas in the South West (Cork/Kerry) are actually fairly accurate though...but I think I've made them too accurate if that makes sense haha!

It would look amazing if the terrain wasn't that rough as you said yourself and the mountains were hills so I will wait and look forward to final version ;)

@th0ma5 Based on the amount of cities (31) I'd guess it's large.
