Click on big button to make a magic bridge, step on the bridge and there press small button on the wall. As magic bridge goes off after while, you will fall into the deep water as before. But since you pressed small button on the bridge (you will hear a magic sound) after some while you will be teleported to secret room with reward.

i got to the last area of the game and got stuck. cant do anything cleared out both rooms but nothing, do i nee the crow statue and if so where is it?

i cant seem to find the crow statue, i don't know where to look i need it to open the swamp temple, i also can't find the secret buried treasure near the gallows dug up the entire ground. any help?

Grimrock 2 is less because Grimrock 1 was sold much more (i think 3 times more).
But Grimrock 2 is better and have better mods.

Thank you, I am really glad you like the mod so much :) I have tried my best making it.. I would like to make a new mod, but the Grimrock2 MOD scene seems dead against Grimrock1 scene.. At least from the visitors/users numbers.

If there were a way to monetize mods I would love to make some more! But I dont know about a way how to make a profit from the mods :( And I am busy making money with my music as it is :)

People just use ranged weapons.
Or hit and move one step and then hit back when monster turns away.
Made fight too easy.

Only some monsters have their limited ground which they defend, and turn back if you leave their territory. I tried to give some "logic" for some more notable monsters, like the first Boss fight. They attack, but will not leave their base camp - where they defend their stash and valuables, for example.
This fight is hard so player may use their camp defending strategy to own advantage and run away and come back later in strenght.

I liked this idea in some old dungeons, where some monsters will not follow heroes over the whole map, since they defend their lair/home/treasure etc.

It is excellent mod, but i still do not understand why you limit monsters how far they can follow you? They come to you than have to turn back. Makes some fights very easy and fell off a bit.

Killing the last invisible Boss with one blow - is the point of the mod. To search for Wizard Verge in the Temple area and kill the Butcher of Many with it. Otherwise its not so easy fight.

There are notes around the mod telling short stories and rumors about this weapon and where to find it. I recall one note on the first map - near the poisonous mushroom area. Some adventurer fell from the rocks, trying to climb them and see above the trees where the Temple light shines in the woods.

A lot of details.

-2 for lame last boss fight and monster being unable to move to all places and so-so starting party. Give every person 1 respec potion, so can change skills at least...

Finished mod on Hard, 33/34 and 2/2 treasure.

Didnt figure puzzle in temple of earth (maybe it counts as 34-th secret). Anyone knows answer: something about body of grey, slay your pray. Sword/Axe do now work.

Barbarian with -2 accuracy? Common...
Rogue with 2 in throwing and 2 in missile but 0 in light weapons?
No alchemist? (ok, this is meta a bit)

First fights are brutal, you have to abuse monsters inability to leave zones. Especially first boss (probably hardest fight in game unless you abuse inability to leave zone).
For next mod please remove "leash" for monster, they should move everywhere.

Hello again Shinzy! The red gem is indeed in the Path of the Dead and you can not enter twice this area. This will be fixed in upcoming update.

How to use the console:
- go to Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock 2
- open grimrock.cfg (with notepad)
change lines for:
console = true
consoleKey = 192

Start game
press ~
console will appear
type:
spawn("red_gem")

@Zdenek Oh, thank you! Unfortunately I don't have the red gem. I read from the comments you can get it from the path of the death? But I cannot find any way to go back there again, all my saves are after that part
Hopefully I can figure out how to spawn items in with the console :p

Before picking up the Earth essence Orb - put red, green and blue gem onto the forest altar nearby. The reward is Wizard's Virge which will kill the two stone elementals on one hit :)

Hello! I've gotten stuck at the temple of the earth
I picked up the earth essence orb. The two rock dudes are seemingly unkillable (Or atleast have thousands and thousands of health)
I feel like I'm missing something? Am I supposed to kill them? or is there another way out?

I'm really enjoying this mod by the way! :steamhappy:

Hi! The prison is in the Northern Keep level. Entrance to the prison is marked on the wall tab text as "Prison cells & Mage Hold". After using golden key to enter the inner Keep - you have entered a small crossing. Go to the right - and let the guards see you (they will open the gate when they see you). After you kill them the prison entrance is to the left.

Hello, the Ice guardian statue is in the Keep's prison, where the mage is held prisoner. His Ice minion has the Ice guardian statue.

Thanks for the clue but still stumped. I have read the note (I think). Put note in bag with others and forgot to mark which one I got there. I'm thinking it is the one the begins with "In the midst of battle" and ends with I can still fly. I've tried all combos of the statues but thinking with the note that you put the three in and the Crowen left out.

Hi, you must get past the riddle near to the healing crystal that closed up and put in this alcove riddle three statues. Under the alcove lies a clue for this riddle written on a parchment.

I am in the room with all the mummies, it has in the back of the room 3 things. A teleporter in the middle, a blue crystal that closed up when you stepped on and then off and a spot that just regains your blue power bar when you step into it. The blue cube is straight back in the middle. There is a gate you can close and alters on each side of it. I have done the two rooms on the right and one on the left.

Finally found one. Mage room, behind a secret door... and then maybe half an hour later, one in the Temple of the Earth thing right in the open. Game got much easier now! Puzzles are still hard, but now I can do this!

One general comment is that a lot of the dialogue happens when there's other stuff going around, which makes it super easy to miss. I'm not sure if I have a solution for this, but maybe one of the party members could be the 'scribe' of the group, and a note with a transcription of the conversation would appear in your inventory after the dialogue has happened in case you missed it?

One thing that happened in the keep was that the first time around, when I defeated a skeleton with the golden key, it dropped in a spot (where there are spikes) that it got lost in under some background, and just wasn't visible, so I didn't know it was there. I find that's often the case that dropped stuff gets lost in uneven surfaces (e.g. the rat brothers also dropped stuff that I had to click around blindly to find, I had to click around several times in the poison room to find all my arrows, etc...).

Anyway, balance is a tricky thing, but not having a save crystal near the start of the game makes things too unforgiving IMO.

I believe I'm playing on normal yes. The main Grimrock campaign is pretty easy/forgiving so a higher difficulty is fine, but design-wise, I'm about 6 hours in without a save crystal. I've defeated at least two bosses, arguably 3 if you include the poison thing, and face enemies like that WASP that pops out from the well which is an absolute party-wrecker (caused 2 injuries on my guys).

IMO there should be a save crystal in the initial area, and one in the well area (since you cannot backtrack up), and a few places require that you drop 2 floors at once, causing leg injuries even on a 'perfect' playthrough. Maybe one crystal in each area would be a bit overkill, and one in the well area would be enough. Maybe it needs a mortar & pestle in the first area, and a crystal in the well area.

Hello Headbomb, are you playing at normal difficulty? Nevertheless, the mod is now old enough to get a BIG all-round and difficulty UPDATE. In this update secrets would emite certain sound so the player hear this sound when there is a secret nearby. Enemies will be weaker and there will be more healing potions/options before you can have mortar etc.

If you encounter another bug or anything you would like to report please do. I encourage all players to do the same so I can make the mod better. Thanks!

I got all of that, making my way into the well, fully out of healing. Had to restart the game for a 3rd time, save-scumming and saving potions for when I get an injury.

Killed the Green Queen. Made my way into the keep, but the two paths seem to be blocked/locked. Still no save crystals. Fully out of healing. Can't even brew potions since there's no mortar & pestle. I'm about 4-6 hours in. It's *very* frustrating to say the least.

I found a bug though, if you kill the Green Queen (you can do this by using poison cloud through the grating, which is pretty necessary given how you need to avoid injuries because of how limited healing is) before dealing with the Zarchons in next to the pit of sacred water, the game will crash.

Also - bash the bushes near the Keep entrance to get bag with Bear gauntlets and two Bear form potions. You can beat the Rat bosses with ease with those two potions. There are total four potions of healing around in chests and bags in first level. Hope this helps you a bit. When you solve much of the riddles and secrets then mod is not hard at all :)

Yes the only way into the Keep is using the well behind the Rat boss area. As Horanzoo wrote in the letter you have with you at the start. Just behind two hidden healing crystals near start location is a bridge and under it is a secret note giving you a hint how to get two pieces of Lurker armor. +10 evasion will help a lot! You will get this armor when you dig between the two trees with fireflies flying between them (as the note hinted). These two trees are the ones right in front of the Gotraks tomb. Bash the gate and behind bush is a button to open Gotraks tomb. Inside is nice armor too. There is also hidden Tome of Earth in the grass under the fireball spitting head at the cemetary. Pick it up from the graves side not from "puzzle" side you cant reach for it from there. Solve the first cemetary riddle by putting small healing potion and small mana potion on the stone table next the fireball head and press button behind you for 1500 XP.

Well that's the thing, it's behind a door, and there's no obvious way to open it AFAICT. I've cleared pretty much everything I could, beat the rat boss, cleared the poison area, delved into the nearby crypt, never found a thing that would let me open that keep. Playing with the nearby switches and pull chain also didn't prove of much help.

I've had to restart the game. I'm a bit further now, trying to make my way into the well trying to play extremely conservatively. Getting wrecked again without the ability to revive. Might try the crypt again now that I figured out you can bash some doors open. Or maybe you need to bash the doors of the Keep?

Am I missing something obvious here?

Hello, the nearest healing crystal you can find is in the Northern Keep. You can use it as many times as you need. The crystal will recharge after some time. There are healing potions and plenty of food around, so you may sleep after every fight to heal and not get killed with low HP in the next fight. You can also make many healing potions, plenty of herbs in the mod for that too. Good luck :)

Gotta say only having two hidden healing crystals at the beginning is brutal. I used them both and now can't progress because three of my guys are dead and there's no way to heal.

Hi, there are four Healing Crystals and the mod has about 6-7 hours of playtime. It is possible to play in iron man mode but hard in some places. Listen to what characters have to say like in the old school RPGs to avoid some (but few) deadly situations. Like jumping in unknown deep water when thief says not to :)
