definitely might be a good idea to have another modded look at it, this is the only stargate mod that show up when searched but would be cool to have a stargate in Medieval engineers even if it isn't as good as the space engineers one.

I know your busy with the updates and stuff but would love to see this get fixed if it can be. I know that stuff from .5 does not all work or can work after .6 Maybe some one else could look at it ?

@High Lord Baron, I don't know, they might be entirely broken.
I haven't migrated them to the latest game version yet.
I'd like to, but I don't know when, or if, I'll ever get to that.

I know the gates don't work right now, but are they still placeable? Because I can't find them in the build menu anymore....

Correct, ships are dynamic grids, the gates require static. Meaning they must be attached to the planet surface (either directly, of on an embedded platform of some sort).
Same as a concrete wall block.

If I put a stargate on a wooden ship and sail around the world, would it automatically connect to the next gate on another island I'm sailing past?

@Conflict Gaming, It looks like it's a bug in the ModAPI, due to placing a block on the planet surface directly. I've reported it to keen. Not sure how to fix it while keeping the mod working in that specific case.

There seems to be a bug where when ever I place the Stargate without the base my game crashes. Here is what my log says when I place the gate. https://pastebin.com/Pu1DpaWk

I just updated it for 0.5.
It's still buggy, and I have no idea if it works in MP yet. However since this isn't survival ready yet, I figured I'd let you guys have access to it early.
I had to completely rewrite the entire mod for 0.5, which is why it's late, and still isn't complete.

Update, now it works in a basic manner: it will dial the closest gate.
Address customization isn't possible yet (in an easy way anyway), but I'll add it as soon as it's possible.
