can i make a listen server to run this? and how do i do that? no servers currently run this for the 3 achievements

You have to join a server that is running it. Most servers won't be running it permanently, but may have the ability to switch to it with a mapvote.

I'm still getting the same error. I even deleted the mod folder from appdata and let it re-download.

The HUD is currently broken. I fixed it by removing line 11 in IMGUIMarineHUD.lua since teamText no longer in the game. Everything works now without that line but I wasnt able to figure out how to set the visibility of the new topBar.

Yes i setup a server yesterday, quite a bit of fun.

Although I must add I would love to tweak it, there are some things that would be great if they were added in :)

@nukem266 all you have to do is add maps with "infest_" as the prefix to the mapcycle.json file, instead of "ns2_" as the prefix. So for example, if you add "infest_tram" to your mapcycle, it knows to automatically add the infested marines mod, and then switch to ns2_tram.

To set this up on a server, simply add "infest_<mapname>" to your map cycle, eg "infest_tram". No need to add the modid -- ns2 will automatically find/activate the infested marines mod.

Hi Feral, this is a different game mode, so you'll need to find a server that has it running. Sometimes its difficult to find. :(

Yup! Definitely influenced by The Thing, one of my favorite movies. (The three achievements you can get while playing this are named after The Thing too!)

It's a completely different gamemode than regular ns2.

Boomstick, this is an official alternate gamemode (presented as a mod). It was created for Halloween last year for the 4th anniversary of the release of NS2.
