I just wanted to say that Aaron(Felix) and Ashley, his girlfriend, lost control of their car on icy roads and were hit by a semi. Aaron didn't make it, he's not with us anymore, I cannot imagine how his family feels about this, it's devastating, he was so young...
But not all is bad, Ashley is on the hospital right now, and neither cannot imagine how she feels about his boyfriend loss...

by the time you get a shadow manipulator and can afford the sanity, these tools aren't really needed. They're just a nice benefit to have and a reward for late game granted you have the sanity to spare. remember each chop costs 3 Sanity, so you're simply trading time for sanity.

I dunno how the concept of a late game item that breaks stuff quickly is OP. Does nobody in the DST community play Terraria or Starbound?

Not every character has high sanity. Some characters even have like 50 sanity. It just becomes useless to them. Besides once you reach the point in game where you can make the shadow manipulator you've already gathered enough resources unless you rush straight for the sm which would be silly.

Then you consider the resource Cost per tool and the fact that it already drains sanity. Like why do people want mod items to be completely useless?

Maybe since it's instant, should it be closer to 5 or 6 sanity per use?
