Looks like a useful mod. I'll try it soon.

Would it be possible to add better descriptions for weapon mods and PCS chips in the "Buy" window? Currently the UI doesn't tell you what they do, though it does in other places.

I appreciate the kind words! I wonder what the changes are, since I'd assume all items are pulled from the same place. But, rest assured, if I do find the time to look into this, I will! Thank you again for checking this out!

There are new items, and slight changes if I'm not mistaken. It works for what's already there but there do need to be some updates.

None of this is meant to come off as burdensome. This is a mod, and honestly it's the fault of Firaxis for relying on mods this heavily. You shouldn't worry about updating your amazingly good mod if you don't want to, but it's amazingly good, and its absense is felt. :squirtyay:

It's possible. Haven't had much time to do anything, let alone get WOTC. I'm guessing there are issues with the mod while running WOTC?

Sounds like it might be an LW2 incompatibility, but it's the first I've heard of this.

I don't know if it's an LW2 incompatibility or not, but installing this mod made screens accessing my Inventory lag for 5-10 seconds every time the inventory was opened. A few times, I had to exit the Engineering Inventory or Black market Sell screen and go back into it because it just hung or would leave blank lines.

This isn't just the Engineering Inventory screen or the Black market sell screen, this also affected simply opening a soldier's Loadout Screen, and clicking an item in the loadout I wanted to change or add. This did NOT affect the screen to add mods to my equipment, however. But trying to change loadouts for a squad was unbearably slow!

And leaving out the research bit was also a conscious decision as I believe that most people know what they still have left to research, especially when it comes to corpses. But again your point is well taken.

Much appreciated for the feedback! I consciously made the decision to leave out the actual quantities needed just so it would an "at a glance" thing, but you're right (e.g. at the BM, knowing how many you can safely get rid of).

The idea itself had started from the the "View Inventory" screen (hence the "at a glance" idea as you can't do much from that screen) and I thought it'd carry over to the BM screen, as well.

But again, I believe you're right about the quantity from the BM screen.

The look of this is definitely pretty sleek compared to the Blackmarket Usage mod, but the major drawback this has compared to it (apart from the compatibility issues that have been mentioned), is that while it shows what you build with an item, Blackmarket Usage shows you how many of an item you need (as well as displaying research topics that use that item, which it looks like this does not), which unless you have all the costs memorized is generally a more useful piece of information when deciding whether you can afford to sell something or not.

If those issues were resolved, I have to say I would definitely prefer the look of this mod, though - good job.

The "Craft Loot! Build Weapon Mods and PCSs" mod allows you to build items through the Workshop. "Blackmarket Usage" doesn't show the er... ingredients for the items craftable from that mod (e.g. Trooper corpses for this, ADVENT turrets for that).

Not sure how feasible compatibility with that mod would be...

The one thing that really is a disadvantage of this mod is the incompatibility with Grimy's Loot Mod.

@robojumper: Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it's difficult to always find if an exact mod already exists or not. Oh well.

Regardless, after having looked at the other mod (which looks very well done), mine's perhaps a bit cleaner (though different) and also works from the "View Inventory" screen from "Engineering".

Anyway, thank again for the feedback. If nothing else, it was a helpful learning experience for me, and possibly offers another alternative to an existing mod. That probably won't be the last time that happens. :)

First of all, nice job.
Second - I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but there is already a mod for that - "Blackmarket Usage", and it shows techs too, and doesn't override anything.
