I love this mod. I consider it a Must Have for any play through.

But...I do wish the Walk speed was tweaked up a bit. Horses should walk faster than humans.

Or maybe a fourth speed should be introduced. A Canter maybe, in between Walk and Run speeds.

You know, Horses can run long distances, so maybe LARGELY increase the horse's stamina so you can get that marathon-y-realistic feel.

Awesome mod. It's not overpowered and it adds a much needed boost to the ridiculously slow horses. I could stealth and do a silent roll the whole way and get there faster before. Not anymore!

Finally turning into a werewolf/vamp lord is not my primary method of travel (which is why i am always one or the other since travel in skyrim is grueling......)

This mod is amazing, but there is a problem, due to the horses running too fast, the game most likelly will cause problems spawning enemies, or showing npcs, and cause the map not to remove the lod mode of objects and building if you are running in the same direction for long.

If you reduced the speed by -30%, it will be fantastic now!
Because, in your first video (above), the horse runs like ..."Shadowfax" (Gandalf's magic horse). Now, in the SECOND video, I'm watching very good (improved) speed.
I'll probably use it, because I hate the "Fast Travel", I'm using my horse to explore...

I think, the idea is cool, because I do srsly hate fasttraveling all the time all my saves got deleted, because my PC was broken and steam cloud was off.

The mod's horse moves/runs like a racing horse, probably even faster (but realistic). The problem is... in a fantasy world like Skyrim... horses are not suppose to be... racing winners, but hard stallions forged for battle.

So, even if the mod's horses are looking realistic, they're running extremely fast for a "warrior" horse; looks like they're running like... Arwen's elvish horse, chased by the Nasguls!

See, the thing is the vanilla horse speeds ARE accurate, why? Because the breed of horse the game uses is in a group called "Cold Bloods", they are called "Draft Horses". These horses originate from European countries and are suited for cold climates. They also carry a trait of being incredibly SLOW, but STRONG and can carry heavy objects. I think people are too used to "Hot Bloods" such as "Andalusians" and "Thoroughbreds" which are lighting fast and a whole lot more common as horses aren't used for labour now days, but sport and hobbies instead.

Even 30% faster, the horses are still painfully slow compared to the speed of REAL horses...so even 'lore' wise, it STILL fits while making the horses not virtually useless ingame.

This is a fantastic mod, but I just wanted to point out that I'm pretty sure in the base game you can hear someone say that "Skyrim's horses might lack speed but they have great endurance" or something like that. So there is a lore reason for their slugishness. :)

I used to walk everywhere, as it hardly made a difference with the horses being so slow. Don't get me startet on sloooowly dismounting while being mauled by multiple sabrecats. Now I am enjoying riding and outrunning to local fauna without interferring with the immersion.
Also, I was finally able to catch up with the headless horseman

this mod is so true to its word, it feels very nice to control and it aint overly powerful, I love this mod and I use the horse much more because of it, instead of taking the "taxi" from point a to point b, I use the horse, its much MUCH nicer.
The only gripe is the fact that the game cannot load at the speed, leading to small freezes lasting a tenth of a second at most. this is probably the reason the horses were not to fast to begin with. However I truely do love the mod, and even though it may seem overpowered on paper, (outrun anything) it is the most balanced mod ive seen yet, and its perfect, just make sure you dont use this mod on a computer that can berely run skyrim to begin with.

This mod looks cool and you have my subscription. Horses don't exactly go at ferrari speeds but they're not as slow as in vanilla Skyrim either. If horses were really that slow, I doubt the lance would've been invented :P
