If someone wants to do it, they're welcome to! ME's last update 1 1/2 years ago made the game nearly unplayable on my computer. (There is a bug with certain processors that kept threading from working right.) By now all the old files & modding software are gone from my computer so I won't be able to add anything else. (I also heard that ME's very, very, very last update a few months ago on "release" managed to break still more mods, which again I can't fix anymore.)

I'm kind of sad, that Keen stopped development on ME (for now), but isn't this the perfect moment to get this mod into a final working version?

Could be. I hope you're right!

I kinda doubt Keen had "abandoned" the game, most likely they're just concentrating on a new title or updating SE.

Hi Jacob. It's on the list of things I want to update and do! I'm waiting to get some sign at all that Keen has not fully abandoned the game, before putting still more time of my own into it.

I really wish you'd update this - columns are essencial for the medieval period to exist!

Are you going yo update this mods for the 0.7 update?
Gallium1998 10. nov. 2018 kl. 1:32
Thanks for replying STORI3D, I can see the problem. Good luck!

Hi Gallium, you're not alone! I have been wanting a bigger version too. But to make them so big, they should be structural -- meaning they should be large blocks. And that's when it gets tricky. Because there's no one good place on a grid to "place" each column. If you place them in the center of the grid, or on the edge, or straddling the edge, they look good in some cases & stupid in others! I've been trying to think of a smooth way to make the transitions possible. In the end, I *could* just make them bigger small-blocks, but I don't like that choice either! I'll keep thinking on it.

Hi there, I really like this mod and have been using it heaps!
The only thing is that the columns aren't really big enough for a temple, so it would be cool if you could create a larger set of columns with a 1m diameter. It would also be awesome if you could create a Corinthian order for the same, which should have 1m high capitals(that's assuming I've read my Virtruvius correctly!).
I understand this is probably tricky to do, I just thought I would suggest it as a cool addition to an already cool mod!

Sounds good. Thanks!

Hey sonic. Yeah the marble cracks won't line up right, was too complicated to try to create a seamless version. If you rotate the pieces 90 degrees and then flip them upside-down, the flutes will line up right. So that should at least help a bit!

Stori3d, I love this mod. I'm using it a bunch in the house I'm building. The only problem I have is that the texture doesn't line up nicely when building a tall column. The "crack" doesn't quite go far enough around, and the flutes don't line up if you rotate successive pieces 90 degrees, so it's easy to see the breaks where each piece comes together.

Unless I haven't tried all the possible rotations...

Hey Zabard. Yep, the devs have changed how hand tools like the hammer and axe are named in the code. I've updated & checked, and it should be working fine again for you. Thanks for letting me know!

Hi Zabard. Thank you for this! They must have made a change I missed. I'll check into it hopefully later on today.
Zabard 17. sep. 2017 kl. 4:21
The mod doesn't recognize the Iron Hammer and Iron Axe in the research table, so it's impossible to research it in survival. Could you please update it?

Hey Bizz and everyone -- I updated the gray marble so that the color is closer to the vanilla stone walls and the dark marbling is much more subtle. Should make for more satisfactory builds.

I tried to do that, but the whole turning thing gets tedious real fast ...
I can only think of three ways out
First: The game supports randomized textures for blocks (not likely, though)
2nd: The game allows to access different textures if blocks are attached mode for mods as well (like they are doing it with their vanilla blocks)
3rd: (probably easiest) Convert current texture into a seamless tiling texture.
STORI3D PAST Productions  [ophavsmand] 19. mar. 2017 kl. 10:49
Yeah, I'm not terribly happy with how the dark lines in the marbling work right now. It's possible to mix things up by flipping each column piece upside down or rotating it a turn or two. That way you can get a column that doesn't immediately look like repeated blocks. I may have a look at the texture again and see if I can find something that behaves better.

Like them, except that the texture doesn't tile ... I know it also doesn't tile in RL, but in RL the texture doesn't repeat exactly each time.
The last thing I could then wish for is that they would be physic based.
I mean that I could place blocks above them, and they would yield to stress, and such. Like regular walls and blocks do.
But it might not be possible to combine that with the convenient placing that they have now.

Thanks @Bogus! I think (and hope) it's made the mod a lot more useful and fun.
Bogus 6. feb. 2017 kl. 4:49
They update is amazing ;D

Ohhhh really thank you ! now im going to see if i can change them and maybe do a mod ... :steammocking:
STORI3D PAST Productions  [ophavsmand] 8. sep. 2016 kl. 13:38
Hi Leandro. I actually went to the original file on the hard drive. There's a "master" texture file. It's buried WAY down in the file system. Mine is at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MedievalEngineers\Content\Textures\Models\Cubes. And it's called "block_sheet_cm.dds." I used a free program called GIMP to change the colors of the gray stone to white. That makes all the walls you put up everywhere white instead of gray.
LeandroNapoleon 8. sep. 2016 kl. 10:10
hi i have one question !.... how did you change that colour to that walls ? i would like to have new textures for my castle walls :P
