Is there a way for the countries to have unique GFX, because the shitty minor sprites and models are a total turn off? Still, glad to see old Armageddon.

I've tried everything you've suggested and methods online but nothing works, no mod works, it's like the game is not registering a mod has been activated, I noticed with the mod active that I could enable ironman mode.

Do keep in mind that you probably need to add and activate the mod to a playset (and set said playset to active afterwards).
Otherwise I have no clue whats going on your end, removed mydocuments and steam workshop mods and reloaded/installed and it runs fine after resubscribing and restarting game.

Mod does not work for me. Also not with a new installation of HOI4. I also deleted the entire folder under my documents before I reinstalled the game.

I just get the standard country selection.

Okay, try to first unsubscribe, then remove HOI4 mydocumentsfiles and steam modfiles.
Then resubscribe and relaunch (it should need some time for re-downloading mods).

I removed the files and the mod still does not work

I re-uploaded it and reinstalled it, seems to be functioning properly now.
You may want to remove the mod in your steam folder and the the "hearts of iron IV" folder in your "my documents" section (you may want to move your saves somewhere else before that though).

Not nessecarily, I was working on adding a border-war mechanic to make things more interesting leading up to the global war, but was waiting on the new expansion to try to implement the espionage mechanics into it (eg. using agents to stir trouble in regions to create a local conflict.

I would assume that this mod's updates are essentially postponed indefinitely, eh?

I want to wait for this mod no matter how long it takes.

I'm working on it, technically I have a functioning version right now but I'm wrestling with the AI to make them build/research anything other than interwar ships...

Probably, but not in next version, in the next version I'll focus on making it playable.
After that I'll work on ship namelists, unit namelists are kind of in and generals are vanilla.
I may add starting generals/admirals in the future though

Okay, for those waiting for news, I've loafing around actually playing the game for myself.
I cannot wait to get a propper adaptation operational for 1.6x .
I kind of finished adapting the map but there's still quite a bit work to do on the naval stuff.

With a bit of luck we might see a (crude) release next week that's more or less functional... no promises however.
