@TacocaT: There is a plethora of mods that add higher tier breakers to RT Fuse.
TacocaT 31. aug. kl. 2:37
request: a mod setting to adjust how much stored power each fuse or breaker protects, for use with other mods that add larger capacity batteries.

Or, if balance is a concern, higher tier breakers, I guess? :D
Ratysz  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. kl. 4:41
@Omega13: Yeah, me neither. To me it sounds like something else in your mod list is causing things to misbehave.
Omega13 27. aug. kl. 2:36
Brandon: I am aware that electrical devices can catch fire if not under a roof. That is not what is happening. I am getting faults in conduits that are unrelated to Zzzt (which is basically an event that never happens anymore anyway due to hidden conduits) and this mod is doing nothing to prevent battery loss or fire. Which, again, is something I have definitely never encountered in years of using this mod.
Brandon12340987 22. aug. kl. 21:15
you need to put the device under a roof
Omega13 22. aug. kl. 18:57
Pointing this out particularly because I have used this mod for years and only experienced this behavior recently.
Omega13 22. aug. kl. 18:56
They aren't just causing battery charge loss but also massive fires.
Ratysz  [ophavsmand] 22. aug. kl. 10:59
@Omega13: Those events are one and the same. The fuses don't protect you from losing the battery charge, only from the explosion.
Omega13 18. aug. kl. 15:48
So while I do not get ZZT events anymore, I get a lot of short circuit events now, which you would think these would protect against, but "nah."
5tratz 26. juli kl. 12:47
I have done this manually, but just letting you know, adding this:

<generalTitle>Title Here!</generalTitle>
<generalDescription>Description Here!</generalDescription>

To your (ResearchTab.xml), give the tab a proper title and description, lol. I just love my game to have everything perfect, of course, remove the PlaceHolders I have already put, use it if you wish, but anyway, thanks for the great mod :Upvoter:

For those who are asking about the hidden cables, On my spaceship I've used them as well, but the batteries in close proximity blew multiple times
Syther 24. juli kl. 7:21
The recent dlc kinda made this mod redundant with underground cables or "invisible cables" never shorting, to any one thinking this mod is now useless

I say: making a game "harder" isn't always a bad thing, some people enjoy the challenge of extra work, id say a good addition to this mod now is creating a new cable burn out chance for invisible cables but this is no longer an easy lore friendly alternative if your looking to avoid the challenge of random cable burnouts

the only different between a mod and vanilla content is one is made by the games dev, and the other is made by another person using the same tools.

I can see this branching out into a cool power management mod kinda like the stuff in oxygen not included
MiniFi 23. juli kl. 22:12
Does the game ever say hidden cables can't get zzzt? I had no idea that was a thing.
KubeRoot 23. juli kl. 14:19
Yeah, because screw immersion and interesting gameplay, why waste in-game resources making fuses to protect your cables when you can just build cables that are magically immune to shorts! smh people are idiots
Nam 23. juli kl. 12:27
its funny that people would rather use a mod that uses components and a magnitude more steel than just build with underground cables to prevent Zzzts, its a vanilla feature so unknown people feel inclined to donate money to the mod author that "solves" it in the least efficient manner possible.
eataTREE 15. juli kl. 7:00
Thank you for updating! I would have donated but your payment processor only accepts Americans.
Brezonte 14. juli kl. 10:24
Good for you
Jixxor 14. juli kl. 5:19
NICE! Was just about to have enough of those damn Zzzzts
NoxiousPluK 13. juli kl. 23:08
Hell yea thank you!
Hans20080902 13. juli kl. 22:38
Thanks : )
Daedalus 13. juli kl. 20:43
Thank you for your hard work
Boe08 13. juli kl. 14:28
Thank you, Ratysz.
Agent John Smith 13. juli kl. 9:10
If that mod doesn't work for someone you can check "Circuit Breaker". I played with both before the update :Mirro_lightning:
Hasselbachel 13. juli kl. 8:21
Yall need to chill out. Everytiime an update comes out perople just rudely demand for a fix. Modders are people with jobs and families. They can also get sick and take breaks. Asking is okay, but the way some people demand stuff here is unreal
Aran 虚 13. juli kl. 8:11
Update it!
spaceprogram444 12. juli kl. 17:16
does this mod still works with 1.6? im still on 1.5 for a few days. Just gotta prepare for it in case it doesnt.
netzone23 12. juli kl. 12:12
Life and Job always come first but when ever you get a chance to update the mod I just want to say Thank You! Your mod saved me from countless explosions and fires.
I'm sure the thousands of people who use this mod would thank you also.
ForgeTec 12. juli kl. 9:47
fires in space to zzzt are pain (great mod looking forward when update happens but yes real life first )
Genyatron 12. juli kl. 3:01
Yes, life comes first always. Take you time and thanks for your work.
Pepe 11. juli kl. 23:49
Yeah, it can be hard to keep updating if you feel pressured at all. You're cool for responding and for this mod. Thank you for your work and take your time :KneelingBow:
DrSarcasmo 11. juli kl. 17:31
@Ratysz Yes, life and job do come first. Thanks for supporting the mod up until this point, and thanks in advance for when you get around to updating it to 1.6!
Ratysz  [ophavsmand] 11. juli kl. 15:30
Patience. Life and job come first.
oscarmdsh69 11. juli kl. 13:38
1.6 update coming?
K3rnelPan1c 11. juli kl. 12:41
1.6 please
be_cracked 6. juli kl. 1:14
For anyone wondering: This currently does NOT work in 1.6. The error suggests to me the header of the "GenExplosion.DoExplosion(...)" function was changed.
SghHanzMullerSW 5. juli kl. 5:41
this mod is a must have when rimworld goes to 1.6
Cristi 24. juni kl. 7:31
please consider updating this to 1.6 , thank you!
Nicoman 28. maj kl. 2:26
@0。0 nice tip. Integrated into my own local version of the mod.
Monkey Magic 20. maj kl. 4:49
@o. 0 stated you would be better off adding those flags, because your research tab doesn't have a sub heading or description, it results in a weird black bar popping up when switching tabs. It's not game-breaking, but it is kinda distracting

after the wall light mod is no longer essential, this mod will become my longest subbed mod. i really appreciate that this has been maintained all these years
WiseArkAngel 28. feb. kl. 16:22
@Ratysz There's a special battery in the mod used to power special weaponry, but it also experiences the ZZZT event.
Ratysz  [ophavsmand] 28. feb. kl. 16:15
@lessar-dog: I'm not sure what's this about RimAtomics, but in vanilla RimWorld your cables could always explode, with or without installing RT Fuses. What the fuses do is prevent that explosion (as long as you have enough to cover your battery capacity).
lessar-dog 27. feb. kl. 14:00
can anyone explain what the use for this mod is besides that it is needed for rimatomics, i don't really see what i would benefit from when adding a fuse that adds the ability for my cables to explode
WiseArkAngel 21. feb. kl. 17:00
This mod is required with Rimatomics. Legendary Mod.

@XxN1GHTMAR1SHDEM0NxX

Bullshit, not worth the trouble.
[PR/FAI] HavenOnline 6. nov. 2024 kl. 6:27
You sigma. Leave batteries. Just use generators boi.
Batman 15. sep. 2024 kl. 19:40
yeah the batteries were outside i'm the rain, i'm really sorry to have bothered you dude, i don't know why i didn't realize it, thank you very much for the mod.
Ratysz  [ophavsmand] 15. sep. 2024 kl. 19:23
@Batman: The short circuit event doesn't actually blow up the batteries, only the cables, so whatever it is it's probably not that. Are you leaving your batteries outside in the rain? Are the batteries from a mod? Do you have other mods that might be affecting the short circuit event?
Batman 15. sep. 2024 kl. 8:26
i'm having the issue where the batteries still are exploding despite there being more circuit breakers than batteries they are all connected to each other as i can see each other and every battery is touching at least one circuit breaker.
