how bout a good pick of the items on a table or shelf & a clearer pick of the inventory object as well as some stats & values? also if tamed would beak things then lay eggs? cause who needs hard to get high value limited foods.

Well done Grave & Kaddicus added to desc:cactusrum:
KaddicusElfslayer 16. apr. 2023 kl. 13:36
I bring news! Me and Grave managed to figure out the patch, it works! One weird thing, if you have problems with being able to pick up the new eggs (which should be the only one) try deleting the vanilla egg in FCS. I have no explanation for why this works other than Chris Hunt's patented goblin code
Grave 13. apr. 2023 kl. 17:14
@KaddicusElfslayer Why don't I just upload the patch I made
https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2961973566
Let me know if it works.

Points for the pun there Kaddicus! Hope you guys work it out :beeped: I'd have a look but I'm not modding Kenshi anymore. Though as Grave said originally there was a reason I had to create a 'new' egg to get around a restriction. But yeah. Super old mod.
KaddicusElfslayer 12. apr. 2023 kl. 17:11
@Grave how did making your own version of this go? Trying myself and I can't quite crack it
Grave 4. feb. 2023 kl. 3:41
I took a look at it and I understand why this needed a duplicate egg. It seems the vanilla egg is lootable debris and not a real item and can't go in any normal item list. I went ahead and patched it myself to spawn the new egg instead, and removed the new egg from other animal nests. Will see how that goes.
The mod is so old the new egg no longer matches the desc, value and weight of the vanilla egg

Hi @pnciampo sorry this is a very old mod. Im not really maintaining most of my old mods now. There has probably been some updates to the editor tools since this was made but at the time there i remember therw was a reason i had to make it separate. I believe something stopped me editing the egg to be an edible
pnciampo 16. nov. 2022 kl. 13:17
I'm curious why the eggs couldn't be set to being ingredients. Shouldn't they be trade goods AND ingredients, much like Cactus into Rum, Fabric into Clothes, etc? Seems weird that you had to create a new egg.

They're spawning in bonedog and skimmer nests as well.

i got them:steammocking:
CrimsonPants 22. sep. 2019 kl. 10:45
I can't find any of your eggs, only the vanilla ones
Nanogiraffe  [ophavsmand] 9. mar. 2019 kl. 21:25
I'll have to add it to the list. My main mods generally get priority, but good mods are always fun. Also fyi check the collto the right I made called 'more friendly foods' for other options :-)
CrumbleCat 9. mar. 2019 kl. 20:54
Hah, well it is the only mod I can find that does anything with beak eggs. Unless I'm missing a mod. Welcome to 2019, sir. If you're still into kenshi, you could try giving it another peek. :sfsmug:
Nanogiraffe  [ophavsmand] 9. mar. 2019 kl. 20:32
Goodness me! That's a good question...I haven't looked at it in a very long while. I know that the Nu ratios are probably waaaay off now. I have however updated my Tsukemono, cactus cake and senbe mods. But I thin I let this one go by the wayside.
CrumbleCat 9. mar. 2019 kl. 19:25
Bumpy. How is this mod in 2019? :P Is it still working? If anyone is still using it. It makes sense that we'd make something delicious out of such a giant egg. :microraptor:

@PNutButter Glad you like it. I understand the thing about balance and so forth. It's a tricky thing. This hasn't been updated in quite a while but I could take another look at it. I am happy to take requests for food mods as they are usually quite quick. I have a senbei and tsukemono one as well that i did when i first started. However now my attention mostly goes into the Recruitable prisoners mod i made. What did you have in mind?

Some is good, though, here and there--I quite like this mod, with the eggs. It makes sense, because big eggs, from big, dangerous animals, are likely going to be very rich and nutrition-dense.

At the same time, eggs in general: big or small, from birds, fish, reptiles, or...whatever the hell those beak-things are? are likely to be good sources of food, even when they're coming from a fat farm-hen.

Are you continuing with this mod, or other mods? I particularly like that you're adding more Asian foods to the game! If you are still continuing on with it, are you taking requests?

I like having more foods--thank you!

The only thing I'm a little wary of, is too much "balancing" of the nutritional value of foods, against the difficulty of obtaining it--especially, against the danger of the creatures that the food is coming from.

It's not a bad thing (or a big deal), and I understand the reasons for it, I just personally don't want to see *too* much of it, because it makes things feel a bit too "meta".
Weaver 7. nov. 2016 kl. 7:37
After bouncing around in the data for quite a while, I discovered that the food overhaul made a global post-processing change on the nutrition data so you wouldn't need to change that.

Not sure about the econ.

@weaver thanks for the comment. I haven't been back to this mod for ages as if never really took off. I'll definitly have a look at it for you though :-)
Weaver 24. okt. 2016 kl. 22:09
Heya, I like this idea but would you consider tweaking it to fit the 0.93.22 Food Overhaul [lofigames.com] (and also check price parity with the following Economy Overhaul [lofigames.com])

Thanks! :D

Food is easy, so yeah.
