this is not for the hardware models (player\hwm\scout.mdl) but for regular models (player\scout.mdl) so that's why the scout is half black

you need to add the .vtf to the end, so instead of replacements/heavy_green you would use replacements/heavy_green.vtf

these are textures, so you must use a tutorial/plugin to add them to a model.

if your model has a checker texture, try verifying the integrity of the game files or re-installing the texture.

The Medic Gloves doesn't turn green or yellow for me for some reason... I added the basetexture on medic_red with the green replacement, but he forgot to add the replacements for the engi and medic gloves texture... Huh...
