I had that the other day Jhaan2, if you haven't fixed it then try opening the settings and changing the options a bunch, making sure all features are enabled.

Hello...this map is absolutely stunning! I've encountered a problem where my TP:ME is limited to only 4 buttons and I cannot change speed limits or restrict turns, for example. Does anyone know why this would occur and if there is a fix?

I love this map. It is filled with little moments that really bring a city alive while also giving plenty of flat building space. The waterfalls/beaches/and water flows on this are exceptional. I altered my map a bit to make it my own and to handle a larger city. I wish you would share more maps with us.

Well I have a problem, the industry does not import products, and since the cargo airport, port and train station and although it exports products, no vehicle comes to import, not even trucks, what can it be? from already many grace and the very good map

I have got a minor problem though......
In the neighbouring Swamp are on the map... after around 20 yrs of playing there have suddenly appeard lines of threes... on land, in the water etc... and I can't delete them......
Is there anyone who knows how to remove them.....

best map ive played interchanges are kinda messy but this was made before mass transit. the amount of unique little spaces is amasing

Yeah, I was getting it as soon as I started a city. Haven't run into it on any other maps yet, so I wonder if there's something unique about your map that some mod doesn't like... Not sure. Gonna keep testing.

OK. Keep in mind that in order to reproduce the same problem in a different map, you would need to have the same mods active and a smiliar level of development. When comparing it with other maps to see if the problem is there or not, I'm sure if you start a new city using my map, the problem wouldn't be there either.

That's what I figured, but it's the only map that I've had the problem with. I'll try to figure out what mod it is and let you know if/when I do!

@Puck. I have seen this in some youtube videos. It definitely isn't my map, as it uses only vanilla assets. Most likely is a mod you have that is causing it.

Brilliant looking map, love it! I'm running into an issue though, there seems to be an invisible sky highway across the entire map, from one edge to the other, and I have a constant stream of ground vehicles driving through the sky!

Love the map! Started a new city on it about three weeks ago an I am up to 108K population. Good work.

@ACF1 Thanks for the reply! I'm beginning to think that might be the case, as I do have a lot of custom unique buildings and parks. I'll try cutting down on them or disabling what I have to see what happens.

@Beebins I wouldn't know what to tell you. My map is plain vanilla. Nothing that truly affects game mechanics. The map doesn't have any weird path configuration that would cause backlog, you can see boats flowing through nicely.

In some ways, that is a nice problem to have, tourist wanting to go to your city :) I will venture to say, maybe some of the assets you are using have a high touristic demand property. Maybe that in combination of paths the hit all four cardinal points makes it very high in international traffic.

All I could do to test, if I were you, is disable custom entertainment assets and see if that lowers the traffic volume.

@ACF1 I love this map, thanks so much for all the effort that you put into it and I'm excited to see what you do next. I do have a question though: I've noticed that when I place a harbor or airport, they generate an absurd volume of tourists. This is what happens at my harbor, for example: http://i.imgur.com/gJu0tVq.jpg . Something similar happens with airports, with a plane landing every 30 seconds or so. In both cases, ships/planes are always 95-100% full of tourists.

My city is only at 55k population, I use no mods of any sort (just custom assets; this also happens even if I use the vanilla harbor and airport), and I haven't run into this issue on any other map. I was just curious if you might have any thoughts on why this is happening/possible solutions. Appreciate any advice!

Hands down my most favoerite map. Great job! The sewer nitch is a bit of a cheat, but I don't care. It's the perfect balance of flatland to allow for building and hill/mountain/river topography to make it look good. TY!!

hahaha. I haven't played the game in a long time, but I take joy knowing people still like my map. It took me hours/days to make this, and it is still far from perfect. And I credit Brenda's Capital maps (I used one of his height map), which inspired me to do my own.

I'm still dissapointed the texture editor is bad, and ocean/wave system sucks. So much potential for a Skylines 2.0

My now 60k City is turning out perfectly on this map, for the reccommended uses of areas i changed just a bit, The whole island is the high density area"european", the financial district is now the downtown, and the northern part of the island of amusement park is a canal suburban city, and the smaller airport and riverwalk are suburban cities. and because of the close proximity of the city, the eastern part of the tropical island is part of "Greater Montreparsy (City Name)'' and the western part are just blank beaches. Even though this map was inteded to be Californian i made it European and like to think that it is somewhere near the mediterarien sea in Spain, Portugal or Southern France.

Just wanted to say this is a great map to build on. ACF1 has really thought out the whole map excellently and the level of detail is very good. Good job!

If you build your city where one exit/on ramp is the only connection to "the outside World", then it is logical that is going to have heavy traffic. To solve that, you need strategic zoning, there are some good guides here in the workshop to help you solve some of that. Also consider building more exits besides the ones I built into the map.

The traffic seems to always be really heavy on and near the exits. Any tips on solving that?

To start a city, you need to connect a road to the highway so people from the outside can go the zoned areas. In my map I have 2 exits in the starting tile, you can use either one. Just extend the road to the road in your zoning area.

What is the best way to utilize the interchanges? And why are some highways and then others normal roads? I'm confused as to which one to start my city from. (Beginner at Cities)

After 2 hours of testing your map and 3 others

it is not the map it is not the flight path

it is ALL custom airports when u use the original every thing works fine

but there was an other problem I kept on putting the airports on the flight path exactly

But I have discovered if u put it right on the side of the flight path with original terminals u will get airplane traffic like crazy

HOOh 2 hours searching building searching this was not getting any fun any more

@Felice, also, you may want to load the map in the map editor so you can verify the connections do exist in your map.

@Felice, I simulated a game when creating the map, and I placed an international airport in the spot as suggested in the screen shot, and I had planes landing normally. For the simulation, the population was just of a few hundred. I don't have much time to play the game, but I have started a new game with this map, and even though I haven't reach the point to unlock the airport, I do see many planes flying around.

I wouldn't know what to tell you, other than, yes the map has 4 airport connections, and I have planes flying around and successfully landed. My guess is a mod you may have installed. You don't see any planes flying around the map at all? Or just not landing?

@ACF1 Thanks for the responce. I opened the map in the editor just to trace the line and saw exactly what you explained. All is well, since I typically don't use passenger rail once the closest tile (with oil/ore) was purchased I just bridged the rail line. Thanks again for your work & time.

@fantail Also, the freight line is isolated on purpose to avoid issues with train traffic. I called it freight land because it has access to all map resources (farms, ore, oil) all the way to my designated harbor tile. Of course, you don't have to use it this way, you can delete it, or use it as a passenger line.

Either as a passenger line or a freight line, you need to build a starting station and a destination station.

@_fantail_ Please, look at the screenshots. There are 2 train lines. A Freight line (yellow) and an international line (orange). The Freight line (reaching the starting tile) is an internal line, so you would need at least two end points for it to work. The international line, that crosses borders only needs one station to make a stop. You would need tat least 2 tiles north to get access to it. That's why I added a strategic map to help the subscriber with the map features.

Having an issue getting the freight train line (in starting tile) to work. Tried a few locations near end of line, no trucks go to station. No freight trains show up. City 15k+, tried rebuilding intersection near it, different roads etc. Anyone else with an issue with that line? Thanks.
