Sorry. Somehow I've been desubscribed to the thread, and only just realised it.

I've been off modding for the last half a year, but I'm hoping to get back into it within the month.

Your suggestions look quite good to me, and I've always been bad at writing stuff like this, so expect to see most of it implemented in the next patch^^ (Now, if only I could get find the skills to make some good icons, everything would be great:P)

I'm afraid that this is because of my lack of imagination, for the most part. As I've had problems finding "good" negatives for scientists, that does not straight up make them useless if they are applied.

Though with the last few expansions, I should have a bit more room to work with, so I should definitely look into creating a few more.

After noticing that your traits aren't super descriptive, I've decided to write up a description for ALL of your traits!

You can freely use them in your mod, or not. You're the boss!

Here's the format:

This leader feels as if their services are more valuable than their peers, and demands a higher wage and sign-up fee.


RULER

"Naval Disinterest"
This ruler holds a higher favor towards defensive strategies, and discourages offensive military production wherever possible.

"Pacifist"
This ruler has a deep discontent towards violence, and will only follow the path of violence begrudingly, to the deficit of offensive army production.

"Logistically Inept"
This ruler has no sense of scarcity, and sees no problem spending more than what is necessary for their military assets.

"Military Traditionalist"
This ruler only rarely accepts new tactics over old, tried and tested tactics. As a result, ships' construction and retrofitting methods are behind.

"Peaceful"
This ruler has no interest in violence, putting higher regulations on fleet weaponry than most. Often to the deficit of military tactics.

"No Architectural Sense"

"Poor Architectural Logistical Knowledge"
This ruler does not see the value in modernizing architecture, and such industries are behind most others.

"Anti-Colonialist"
RENAME
"Non-Expansionist"
This ruler is more focused on a more united and cohesive empire than a large and distant one, and tries to discourage colonization of new worlds.

"Conservationist"
This ruler is especially environmentally conscious, and attempts to protect native wildlife if possible.

"No Connections"

"Uninfluential"
This ruler is quite the pushover, and doesn't have a good grip on their ruling seat. They allow others to do most of the decision making for them.

"Tyrant"
This ruler seems to lack empathy towards their citizens, residents, and/or servants. They do whatever is necessary to keep them in line, forcefully if in a bad mood.

"Poor"
RENAME
"Poor Trade Knowledge"
This ruler doesn't see much value in the market and trading, and such industries struggle more than others without regulation to keep them in line.

"Nervous" (Not in English localisation file, for some reason.)

"Poor Fleet Organisation"
This ruler doesn't care much about if the navy's fleets are well-organised, or even decently organised. Ships often take more than their fair share of naval capacity

"Humane"
This leader is an outspoken anti-slavery advocate, and will do whatever is possible to reduce the benefits of slavery within the boundaries of the law/

"Pacifist"
This leader is an outspoken anti-violence advocate, and attempts to allocate less resources towards the military within the boundaries of the law.

"No Fleet Experience"

"Poor Extraterrestial Logistician"
This leader has little interest in off-world logistics, and such industries struggle more than most others.

This leader has poor maneuvering and coordination tactics, and must take extra care to avoid putting friendly ships in danger.

This leader does not have a sense of scarcity, and spends freely on whatever they see it. As a result, fleets often report above-average maintenance costs.

"Passive"

"Too Careful"
This leader is very careful about fleet accuracy, often to a detriment. Fleets under this leader often take longer than peers to aim and shoot, with around the same accuracy.

"Rash"

"Too Aggressive"
This leader is far more aggressive than their peers, often to a detriment. Fleets under this leader's command report requiring closing in towards targets more than peers to satisfy the leader's aggression.

"Slow"

"No Urgency"
This leader has no sense of urgency. His laid-back tactics result in less overall scouting and fleet movement speed.

This leader has little knowledge when it comes to offensive war games, and doesn't perform well when in an offensive position, but is capable of defending as well as most others.

"Uncharismatic"
This leader has overall poor social skills, and does not know how to lead a force to victory emotionally. Soldiers often feel in a worst situation than they in reality are as a result.

"Terrible Logistician"

This leader does not have a sense of scarcity, and spends freely on whatever they see fit. As a result, armies often report above-average maintenance costs.

i belive this mod is geting all the robot/hivemineds killed thay only seem to get negative traits on ther imortal rulers ther for giving them an unending disadvantge

Sounds great. I have not gotten around to play stellaris yet myself, and have not goten around to really get into the new modding functionalities of 1.5. (So its now possible to "edit" the vanilla traits with new opposites without overiding the file?) Anyhow, I would love too have a look at your work, and possibly replace my own versoin.^^

Hi Grimhat, I was gonna use your mod but it doesn't fully copy over the new additions from the 1.5 update. Also you no longer need to replace the original file. I've fixed the mod for my own use, although I still need to test. Would you be interested in the files I'm using? If not no worries, and as an aside I want to thank you for making this awesome mod in the first place. It was a sorely needed addition to the game.

These are all rare traits added in 1.5.1 by paradox, and has nothing to do with this mod. If anything, this mod should make them even more rare.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or intentional. But there seem to be some very powerful traits being given out randomly. For example, one of my starting researchers had the curator trait (which stated that he was from a curator base even though I hadn't left my home system yet). Later down the line I elected a president who had the Hivemind trait which increased fleet capacity by forty. This seemed to me, at a game breaking level of power for the early game as I went from sixteen to fifty-six fleet power.

All the fixes should now be implemented. Also found "leadter_trait_terrible_architect:" in the localisation files, so Terrible Architect should have a real name and description now. All fixes are also impemented in the none ruler version.

So, I've found a bunch of other errors.

Governor Iron Fist trait has invalid prerequisite for tech_ethical_equations - Vanilla doesn't have this requirement, and the opposite does not. I recommend removing it.

00_scientists_traits.txt lacks the leader_trait_curator. This causes many things to break. Copying the curator trait from the vanilla file fixes this.

00_governor_traits.txt:
Lines 75 and 89 use planet_ship_build_speed_mult when it should be spaceport_ship_build_speed_mult
Lines 130 and 143 use building_hydroponics_farm_1_build_cost_mult when it should be hydroponics_farm_build_cost_mult

00_ruler_traits.txt Lines 280 and 295 use shipsize_terraform_station_build_cost_mult - This modifier is obsolete and should be removed.
Line 207 has "trait_ruler_Peaceful" as opposite instead of "trait_ruler_peaceful"

00_scientist_traits.txt lines 167-202 use outdated versions. They should be replaced with vanilla 00_scientist_traits.txt lines 130-257
