I think the mod is pretty much pointless at this point sadly, the current reactor slot system completely replaced the need for extra components.

Ok so I used the fan made mod manager to check for conflicts and immediately came out (checked it personally) that it's the Zenith of the Fallen Empires submod Ancient Cache of Technology override to make the AI FEs and crisis use its components, but at the same time it prevents these ones from showing up.
The other ones end up being even stronger, but they come much later.

Weird, try to start a testgame with just this mod and if it still occurs then its the mod. Just use console to get the tech :)

Hey man, I've only started a 2.2 playthrough now but I'm not getting the reactors to slot in the ship designer. Not 100% sure if it's an incompatibility with something else but I've never add a problem before.

just because the version isnt the same doesnt mean that its not working, since this mod just adds and does not replace anything or messes with really critical stuff it should work most of the times, as long as i check for the major dlcs ofc ;)

Seems to work mostly but causes the +25% research speed bonus for completing some physics research topics to disappear. Have a bunch of mods so no idea whether the +25% is vanilla or other mod; if the latter, there is a conflict

Here is my opinion for Option C : Since the End game Reactor gives you enough energy but the ZPM does not how about dedicating a 2 or 3 of the reactors to be more powerful than the ZPM but less powerful than the Enigmatic, and have the rest of them Gradually more powerful in case of 3rd party weapon mods being used and/or combining them with the Damage booster auxiliary module you spoke of.

The 3 of the in between range would permit the exact same thing i believe everyone needed when they searched for a reactor mod : More leeway in assembling their ship with less compromise between Damage/Defence/Energy

Im probably going for an Auxiliary modul that takes your extra energy and transforms it into extra damage, shield , armor or hull points. That way you could combine it with other mods and you can scale it into lategame i think :)

Anyhow, I uploaded the 5 reactors, without text yet ,to see if they work properly, I have to think tonight about the direction I can go with the mod in order to make it usefull.

They way I see it are the 2 options:
Option A : Scaling updwards with energy and cost which is only usefull and hard to combine with mods that feature weapons so it kinda makes no sense...
Option B : Give the same energy levels but reduce the cost that your ships will get more efficient and cheap. So to say, better research means more efficient power production....
Option C : Maybe you have an idea or I get one

Please tell me what you think about that :)

Wow basically my mod is useless since the endgame reactor already gives you enough energy to power everything else without the need of an extra tier or supply slot... This is only usefull if you combine it with something like TFW´s stuff where you get extra levels of energy need for higher tech weapons ...:steamfacepalm:

Hope I can ship at least the 5 base ones today but im not sure yet. I thought that its gonna be less work but paradox proves me wrong. Imagine you had a small,medium and large engine you fit into a car. I thought now you have like one engine for every car. But instead you have a Porsche engine, a BMW engine , an Audi engine..... so you have to edit every entry for the single car types ( in this case ofc its spaceships).

This means for the devs that they can balance things directly in their usage concerning the ship types but this also means for the modders that they have to overwrite more stuff and that leads to less compatibility in some of the shiptype mods^^
