Holy ♥♥♥♥, I never knew someone had the same idea as me, the rocket projectile as a weapon to hold in your hand.

I started making it Blender, for the Arms Race, it would have been team colored like this one too, expect the team color was set on another part of the model, but I never actually finished it due to some problems. Seems like this idea I had isn't that unique.

It looks killer man. If it ends up being a secondary weapon slot I'll probably wear it for the looks alone (as it'll fit in nicely with my marine sergeant outfit).
As for how it could function as a weapon (particularly one in the vein of batallions backup / conch) I agree with people that it looks very focused on ammo availability. Personally I think it should have a charge bar that is filled as the soldier picks up ammo/medkits in the field. From there (to simulate saving some of those kits for later use or something to give it lore) the activation ability would either be to a) drop a special kit or two (the same way heavy drops his sandwich) that would function as an emergency medium health and ammo refill for whoever picks it up or b) gives a very short duration of AOE infinite ammo to the team (and I'm talkin very short, like 2 seconds, because otherwise this effect would be vastly OP). And by either I mean I can't pick which one is more balanced. Not as an elective choice :/

Maybe a buff that dispenses constant ammo over a period of time? Like a purely ammo-based dispenser?

It should be a secondary item that, when used, all allies (including you) in a limited area around you get a full ammo refill.

This should have a rage meter where rage charges up when you hit an enemy, and when it is unleashed, all surronding friendlys have infinite ammo until it ends.

Having this as a backpack for slodier might be a good idea. Having playing Left 4 Dead 2 for a while, I think the soldier should gain different ammo types on kills. For example, killing a pyro would reward you with incindenary ammo. Players who gain special ammo from this wep should credit the soldier with an assist kill. Getting closer to a soldier with this should allow you to regain ammo in the style of a dispencer, while the soldier moves 10% slower per person taking ammo, up to a 90% slower move speed. Speed reduction goes away after all players have gone away. Primary fire deploys ammo pack.Deploying them should allow players to choose special ammo if available. Types of Special Ammo: Explosive ammo. Supports 1 clip of any non explosive weapon.Retrieved from Demomen and Soldiers. Incindinary ammo: Supports 1 clip of any non fire related weapon(excluding huo long heater). Retrieved from Pyros. Supports 10 ammo for miniguns when powered up.

how about a portable dispencer for soilder that dosnt heal but gives you as much ammo as lvl3 dispencer but dosnt give HP or recharge you have to get more at the ammo box or locker also you cant use the ammo its like a portable dispencer version of the cloak and dager

That's not a bad idea. I my self like playing a defensive Pyro consentrateing on staying close to the rest of the team and Engies to protect them from Spies/uber's/ect. A item that allows me to collect Ammo/Metal for Engies in the Pre-round to help them build fast would be amazing.

But a mecanic like that combined with some of the other Engie/Pyro Items in TF2 could have unforseen consequences. So they would probly have to make it suck, so it doesn't end up being to OP. lol

No. Please make it Pyro. Pyro needs more items where he can pick up ammo and health etc and bring them to Engineers and etc. Pyro is seen as too much of a kamikazi atm.

i think it should be for scout so he can server his original purpose, collecting items around the map and brining them to his team-mates (but i guess capturing intel was keptt the same :/)

i do like the idea of regain ammo and faster reload speed, but it should charge like the buff banner by inflicting a set amount of damage. i dont know how it would work, but the idea is really cool.

Some kind of rage would work well. Stats could be when acitavated all teammates gain full ammo and 20% to 40% larger clip size. Secondary for sure.
