I love how the drone mod still works fantastically a decade or so later but despite that not a single soul made a pack for it or cleaned up the code or nothing

i have a request, me and my old friend are trying to have a versing comp with the drones using consoles. every time we spawn a drone and it comes in range of the opposite team (friend) he can select and connect to that drone even rendering the "hacking" option useless :c >.< do you have the solution?
