I decided to go ahead and make a new version of the mod myself to use the new vanilla models. If anybody is interested, it's available here.

Please don't! I love this style! If you are going to update it, please make it another mod!

I love the alpha artstyle so much... please understand that there are people that would love to keep this mod as it is and I think another mod would be the answer to everyone else.

Why is it not vanilla?

Elkester, I love your work but this seriously needs updating. This mod is a partial answer to what everyone's been asking for; placing multiple blocks in the same space. Although I could complete my station without these blocks, my creation would suffer greatly without them. This creation is no small half assed station; it will be the colmination of everthing I have learned in SE. This massive project is a must see even if still WIP.

Also, I've been working with multiple deck ships lately and the biggest problem is how thick each deck is. Currently to thin out the decks I have to place catwalks upside down so they take up space below the deck plate that way I can place say a PB or a flight seat or button panel above them. If all the functional blocks like PB, TB, flight + control seats and passanger seats and medical bays and some none functional like windows, passage ways and pillars had a catwalk built into their floor and the associated side mount points then we could make thin decks stacked right on top of each other.

Hey man, do you have any plans to make a combination pack with the updated blocks? I know not everyone likes all of the new blocks but I like most of them, especially the catwalks and it'd be great having the new catwalks with things like windows and button panels on.

So far it is only possible to make combinations with 1 working object (buttons, cockpit, etc.) and "cosmetic" objects (walls, windows, etc.) = 1 entry in control-list per meter³. So Flight Seat + Button Panel is not possible.

Your passage way interior light only has a radius of 2.2 meters

Hey Eikester! Love the mod, as always, been subscribed for a long time. I came across a need that I think would be a great addition to this mod (so much so that I double checked, thinking it was already in the mod). I'd like to see a passenger seat/flight seat on a catwalk panel. It is annoying to always have to have a seat supported by a block, and I think it would open up a lot of cool aesthetic and functional possibilities to add them together.

Unfortunately, some of the block combinations you are asking for just arent possible. When modding a new block, the game will only recognize a block as a single type. So things like Button/LCD, LCD/Conveyor, Cockpit/LCD just arent possible. Space Engineers only can put a single ID to a block. So while it can 'look' like the correct combination, it can only ever function as one or the other when the block is first modded.

This is a really smart mod, It would be cool for Keen to make this vanilla

can you add a catwalk with a gate/door, same height as the normal catwalk but with a door that opens

Please, please, please add an LCD-panel with Button Panel infront of it (yeah, one can't see the whole LCD-panel and only use the upper two thirds, but better than nothing ... XD)

As I use this mod more and more, I find even more blocks that I want it to provide. Hope you will read over the suggestions:
Catwalk boarding ramp... 2 or 3 blocks long boarding ramp opening downwards. With, without railing (double and single).
Catwalk lift (made from hangar gate), 2 versions, one with bottom piston and one with top (grapping railing) piston.
1x1 stairs, to replace the use of the sloped window block, and provide smooth movement through your hatch catwalks. Perhaps also a version taking up only half a block, so you may pass by it.
Various types of the internal block, combined with light, panel, lcd, etc.

These are *awesome*! Now my constructions will look a lot more natural - and I don't have to go through all the convolutions to try and position a button panel next to a window and make it look right. And lighted walkways! Woo! Thanks!

Eikester, I was just chatting with MMaster and he does not get notifications from the discussion section of his mod so I thought maybe you don't either. Eikester, can you try making a thruster or engine that does atmos, hydro, and ion all at once, i wanna do a star wars ship but i wanna be able to use one type of thruster, if you can thx, this is an awsome combination of blocks either way

Wouldnt be needed if they finally implemented blocks inside of blocks like they did in medieval engineers. Guess its harder with more complex physics...

It kills me- I'm working on a hyper advanced vanilla respawn ship mod with all the fixens and the amount of time I've spent trying to fit everything around each other yet heres a mod to do it for me- like dangling fruit

The only reason really i can see keen not implementing this is because it is just extra work and there are just higher priorities. Also, I would be interested to see how some of these affect performance, and it is just more blocks on the G menu. I was thinking this last night and then boom here i find it on the workshop, great work.

So much could be solved if Keen would allow limited block combinations! But that's why we got our amazing modding community and even more amazing Eikster!

Minor issue, the cockpit+window isn't airtight on the front face, it is airtight on its right face, which is obviously not where it's supposed to be.

The seat + window is brilliant, thank you!!
