I am truly sorry that I have not updated this mod over the years, I have just not had any desire to play Atilla, and I have moved on from that game.

And that is why I give free reign for anyone to use this mod as baseline for your own mods, or if you just want to update this one. As far as I am concerned, this belongs to the community.

I agree with you. The first thing I thought upon seeing Attila was "another shity one of unquivered archers? ?" (like Shogun 2).

Yeah the mod only changes how the unit models look so it should be totally savegame compatible. Even removing the mod and loading your save should work fine.
