After installing PCS on soldiers and completing the mission, upon returning, everyone's PCS slots are empty and the PCS values are simply added to the soldiers' stats. Is this a BUG or is this how it's intended, and is there any way to prevent PCS from being removed?

Nice and simple mod. The only non-WotC option I could find that doesn't try to force additional "game balances" down your throat with it.

It has some kind of issue not letting me mod spark gear beyond the first slot. Says something about I still need the continent bonus, even if I own the whole map. Most likely another mod not playing nice. But everything else still works just fine, it's still compatible with all of grimy's mods. This is one of the top 5 mods there is IMHO.
/dev/null  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2021 kl. 17:40
I'm surprised people are still using this mod, I thought it would become obsolete long before now.

@ColdAtrophy
Thank you thank you thank you. #1 annoyance lately, so glad I can work around it now!

per 'allow_mod_remove', is it off by diffualt?
Beltalowda 5. maj 2019 kl. 19:50
Any chance for a "Remove all mods" or "Make Mods Available" Option by chance? somthing that will strip every weapon of their mods?
Triel 18. apr. 2019 kl. 18:18
isnt it locked behind a breakthrought now?
花兔 18. nov. 2018 kl. 6:57
Support controller?
Menial Servant 29. okt. 2018 kl. 4:37
Nice Mod, no idea why they locked weapon mod removal behind a rng based continent bonus.
Also works fine with WOTC and TLP
Fonzosh 4. okt. 2018 kl. 5:29
A feature that I miss in this mod is that sometimes the equipment mod doesnt work even though it should. For example, if I remove a mod from a rifle, it sometimes is impossible to fit on a sniper. It seems random though so I really cant figure it out.

BTW Will this be uppdated with the release of the Tactical legacy pack?
Svarty 14. aug. 2018 kl. 5:01
Truly amazing. A must-have mod.
ColdAtrophy 22. juli 2018 kl. 10:32
I just accidentally discovered something about this patterns/mod upgrade screen conflict bug. It doesn't happen if one uses the arrow keys to highlight a pattern and the enter key to confirm your selection. The pattern will take and the mod screen doesn't come back up. This ONLY happens if you use the Left Mouse Button to confirm the pattern you selected.

I have no idea what that means technically speaking, but I'm betting this piece of info could lead someone who knows what they are doing to isolate the cause of the bug.

I would like to add my voice to VoidInsanity's bug report. Minor thing but a bit annoying...

"Got a bug to report - When I try to change a weapons pattern the pattern list comes up, then selecting a pattern causes the mod list to come up making it impossible to give weapons patterns"
TheAshenHat 18. apr. 2018 kl. 17:03
Hello all,
Was just wondering if anyone was having trouble getting this mod to intergrate with the rpg mod? The mod enables fine, but dosent seem to work at all in game. this is the only mod thats doing this, and i dont have time to go through my 150+ modset at this time. so was just wondering if anyone else had an issue.
Thanks for your time,
TheAshenHat

Otherwise mod still works great.

Oh there is no denying that. I was just making a little FAQ comment to help out any newcomers. Great mod. Helps a lot with the Grimy's Loot Mod. I was so tired of having a dozen suits of armor I couldn't sell and would never use.
/dev/null  [ophavsmand] 6. apr. 2018 kl. 3:46
It's because the UI infrastructure in XCOM2 is terrible and controller support is strapped on with old twizzlers and chewing gum.
DualSoul1423 5. apr. 2018 kl. 22:55
To anyone wondering, this mod does still work, and it works on WotC. However, this mod only works when you are using Mouse and Keyboard. No idea why, but that's how it is. There, I just saved you half an hour of troubleshooting and a few fistfuls of hair pulled.

What about Remove PCS?
Jognt 29. nov. 2017 kl. 0:27
I wouldn't have commented this if I hadn't read "Cleaned up the code and made the solution more elegant for professional pride reasons":
Maybe change "ALLOW_MOD_REMOVE" to "REQUIRE_CONTINENT_UNLOCK"?
napocapo69 10. okt. 2017 kl. 6:30
Works with WoTC
PatientLandBeaver 26. sep. 2017 kl. 22:27
I am so happy this is working with WOTC! :steamhappy:
VoidInsanity 10. sep. 2017 kl. 14:14
Works with WotC fine. Only thing that doesn't work is can't modify the Chosen Weapons since they can't be modified.
DC 9. sep. 2017 kl. 23:29
Working for me in WotC, also I was wondering is it possable to add a button in the squad exuipment screen that removed all mods from the weapons of soldiers in the barracks like there is for amor and utility items?
Player 9. sep. 2017 kl. 22:40
Seems to work for me in WOTC
a dude. 8. sep. 2017 kl. 0:00
I got the PCS removal ability after a covert ops mission in my current WOTC campaign I seem to remember, or maybe a breakthrough research, probably the latter thinking about it now.
RainingMetal 7. sep. 2017 kl. 16:18
I think the free removal of PCS upgrades provided in this mod (when toggled) has been revoked in WOTC. The weapon mods themselves still work fine.

Unless it never did allow PCS upgrades to be replaced freely without the continential bonus, and it turned out to be caused by another mod.
[WTS]DrewDawgofWar 4. sep. 2017 kl. 22:00
It is working for me as well, so far.
Dilbadil 2. sep. 2017 kl. 23:02
Personally works for me in WotC
OWL 2. sep. 2017 kl. 9:00
why is this mod not on xcom2 nexus?

mantis are you using teh alt mod manager?
Dr Nilsson 🖖 2. sep. 2017 kl. 6:48
Works for me in wotc
MantisUK 31. aug. 2017 kl. 15:08
yesh does not work with WotC
Rabid Dutchman 30. aug. 2017 kl. 18:17
Has anyone tried this woth WotC?
Dragon32 28. aug. 2017 kl. 16:45
@Gantros:
And tweak it so that when enabled, this mod prevents Lock and Load from being selected as a region bonus?
Isn't that how this works as default?
Gantros 28. aug. 2017 kl. 15:35
Could you update this mod for WotC? And tweak it so that when enabled, this mod prevents Lock and Load from being selected as a region bonus?
Colossus715 30. juli 2017 kl. 5:00
Hey man, any way to have it auto remove absolutely every MOD on every weapon at the touch of one button? I believe someone had asked that before. Thanks so much.
Mochnant 15. juli 2017 kl. 18:19
Thank you, that is helpful to know! This mod is so useful that the issue isn't enough to stop me using it anyway, but a workaround is even better!
/dev/null  [ophavsmand] 15. juli 2017 kl. 16:26
@Aristoi you can still customise weapon skins through the character customisation, it only affects doing it through weapon customisation.
Mochnant 15. juli 2017 kl. 7:37
I can confirm that this mod messes up the ability to select weapons skins. It happens 100% of the time when installed, 0% when not. Regardless of the ultimate source of the buggy code, this mod is not usable if you want to customize weapon skins.
/dev/null  [ophavsmand] 10. juli 2017 kl. 15:28
@skwable You're missing the point. It's not a bug that can be fixed without replacing the core underlying code to properly handle change state clean up and to allow other mods to interact with the loadout process without violating the "there can only be one pending change state rule and all pending change states must be either submitted or cleaned up" rule. If I could have fixed it, I would have, it requires a "highlander" mod to do so.
skwabie 10. juli 2017 kl. 4:21
well hey author, as I said it ain't pretty, but the code isn't made to be looked at but used by users. If using it is fine it is then good enough.
It may not be 100% friendly to modders, but that there shouldn't be the software's problem.
/dev/null  [ophavsmand] 10. juli 2017 kl. 3:43
@skwable: I know that vanilla works in it's default form, that doesn't mean it doesn't have a bug, just that the bug isn't being triggered. You're welcome to setup dev environment with debugger and step through the mod - you will see that the bug is in the way the base game is handling change states, and it's only of default assumptions in the base game that it doesn't get hit. Change those assumptions (i.e. by adding a mod) and the bug becomes a problem.
