I really love this mod, but you could've added 'First Alien Hunter and Shen's legacy mission' to the disabled list

Just use the XCOM 2 Alternative Mod Launcher it is far superior to the garbage Fireaxis launcher

Good luck with that, Koolah. I think most of us gave up on Firaxis's launcher as the thing that is the problem, not the mods. :P

As an update, I got this to work using the Alternate Mod Launcher, it seems like the newer (mid 2020) Firaxis launcher stops a few mods from loading.

Did the new XCOM2 launcher break this mod for WOTC? It shows the yellow circle on the launcher, and mousing over says it only works with XCOM2. Mod does not seem to be stopping VO's despite showing enabled.

Had I found this mod earlier I probably wouldn't have let this game rot in my steam library for the last 3 years. I want to love XCOM but it just refuses to let you actually play the game half the time.

Which option in the config file affects Bradford's "mission accomplished"? I want to reenable that. Other than that amazing mod.

So does this disable the annoying as hell VOs like "Commander did you notice that big shiny red 3 on the mission timer? OMG Commander you must be retarded, so I have to take over control of the game and explain to you that this means there's only 3 turns left for the mission!"

Please update this or make something similar for WotC. The Chosen and resistance factions talk way too much.

Look, I get that you want to rule the planet, but I don't need to hear a full paragraph of exposition during which I can't take my turn.

Will this mod get Lily Shen to stop nagging me about her unstaffed engineers? Cos I currently want to stuff her in a cargo crate and then dump the crate out over the Bermuda triangle.

This doesn't at all do what I wanted, it doesn't stop the unskippable ones that pop up on random missions like "Entertainment" but it removes the dialogue from the DLC missions. Unsubscribed

To re-enable particular things in the INI files, do I put a comment ; in front of VO/ cinematic such as '+FacilityNames=PsiChamber'

Thank you! It is a huge improvement! There was so much yakking going on all the time, it was getting repetitive. I gave a thumbs up to this mod. I have no problems in getting more aggressive and disabling even MORE voiceovers if you are inclined to add more to this mod.

Subscribing now, can't such much other than it's an awesome idea. I always thought the scripted plot was the weakest part of XCOM's storytelling; hopefully this will help my subsequent playthroughs, maybe help other mods integrate seemlessly. Great idea, look forward to testing it out.

Sweet! I alway thought 'Disable starter VO' did nothing. Now I know it had a purpose - it inspired you to make this to set the record straight. Good job :)
