Anyone managed to get these voices to work on WotC? They don't seem to load anymore

Irish was voiced and motion-captured by actor Michael K. Williams, who also portrayed Omar Little on The Wire, and Albert "Chalky" White on Boardwalk Empire, among other television and film roles. Williams passed away on September 6, 2021, prior to Battlefield 2042's release. R.I.P

@Praetorian_Boi
Yes, but they're not assignable to the new Hero classes nor do they have voice lines for WotC-specific actions.
LE_HONQUE 4. feb. 2020 kl. 11:13
do these work for WOTC ?
Ghost-G339 19. jan. 2020 kl. 20:23

Azisovski 16. maj 2019 kl. 15:55
In my opinion the BF3 lines were so much better, I’ll never get over hearing “hey I’m getting fucked in the ass over here” or some other golden lines

@MJpoland:
No worries dude. We're supposed to be doing this for fun, if it's not fun don't do it.
Maybe remove that text from your various mod Descriptions though? If it ever does happen then it'll be a nice surprise. And you won't get annoying people like me hassling you about it :)

@Dragon32
To be honest, at some point I planned to release radio filtered versions of my mods but unfortunately I've lost my motivation - at first I thought I just needed a break and later I got really busy at University. Before I knew I simply stopped to want to continue working on them. In the end it took me over a year to actually play a campaign with my own mods - I was THAT exhausted from the game.
As for why they don't have filters in the first place, I simply preferred them this way. I'm sorry but unless I find some motivation to continue my work I doubt I find good enough reason to force myself to start working on them again.
Once again I'm sorry to everyone that would like to see me update my mods. I'm sorry for my laziness. If the mod actually gets broken I will definitely try to fix it myself or ask for help someone who knows how to fix it, but at the moment I cannot promise I will add additional features like radio filtered versions of the voices.
Dragon32 31. aug. 2017 kl. 11:42
@MJpoland:
As you're here. I believe you've converted all your EU/EW voices now. So... are the versions with a radio filter a possibility?
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 31. aug. 2017 kl. 9:20
From what I've been hearing all voicepacks work for WOTC, no updates are needed, though I can't confirm it myself (can't afford to buy the expansion myself).
伊观琴秀 31. aug. 2017 kl. 9:18
waiting for your WOTC edition
\-Conway-/ 11. aug. 2017 kl. 11:51
One of my favorite voice packs, thank you so much
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 24. maj 2017 kl. 1:22
@Elm
I'm sorry but since I can't speak in these languages I wouldn't even attempt to add those voices - I believe though that there are some voicepacks that add random sounds for each action on the workshop
Adobe Photoshop 23. maj 2017 kl. 22:10
Can you add voices for the Russian / Chinese forces?
White Rabbit 22. mar. 2017 kl. 14:45
Add radiofilter and lower the volume a tad and I'll subscribe and rate highly :)
ThunderWolf 27. jan. 2017 kl. 0:03
What about Bad Company? I would love to hear the dulcet tones of the Haggard Symphony Orchastra in C4.
Figure.05 23. jan. 2017 kl. 6:39
Oh my god, I paused the game just thumbs up this mod because I was freaking out about how great Irish voice is and the engeneer. Man, kudos to the hard work sorting through the sound files and finding a way to add such good and well fitting voice acting to the game. Man, I am so over hearing the the default voice acting that is not very convincing or immersive as XCom Enemy Unknown. Man, I need more XD
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 27. okt. 2016 kl. 3:32
@FreeKill
Definitely not in the near future, I'm unfortunately too busy at University right now. This might change though later.
MasterShake 26. okt. 2016 kl. 14:43
is there anyway you can add more voices.
jack1177889 22. okt. 2016 kl. 13:54
BF soilder #2 sounds like Enginer
Bananas_On_Bread 27. sep. 2016 kl. 12:12
radio when?
Shiro 20. maj 2016 kl. 0:44
Are these characters always screaming?
b_julius86 19. apr. 2016 kl. 18:58
All of them, I just would like it if it was more in line with the base voices ingame.
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 19. apr. 2016 kl. 13:57
@Julius86
Not in game, I would have to change the voicepack itself. Can you tell me which voice is too loud for you? I will try to lower the volume a little once I will get to updating this addon.
b_julius86 19. apr. 2016 kl. 12:47
Is there any way to turn down the volume just a tad bit? Its a bit loud over the vanilla voices
ClockTower 7. apr. 2016 kl. 17:01
I like having the swearing so much more, the soldiers say what I'm thinking and it makes it way more intense. "Zap Zap Fuckhead!"
\-Conway-/ 3. apr. 2016 kl. 9:13
Hannah is so fun to have in a squad, one of the best BF characters ever. Also fatlazy is right, It would be the shit to have the squad members from BC2
NateofDrake117 28. mar. 2016 kl. 18:37
Bad Company would be an excellent voice pack. Hint Hint. :)
Elon Muskox 26. mar. 2016 kl. 22:23
Ah, okay. Thanks for clarifying!
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. 2016 kl. 19:55
@Swag McFresh
As I mentioned in troubleshooting, I plan to do that at some point. I need to finish firstly all my voicepacks though.
Elon Muskox 26. mar. 2016 kl. 19:52
Any chance you can add some radio static to the files, to match the default voices?
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 21. mar. 2016 kl. 8:52
@ΨJAKMACKΨ
I have no idea
🫘🫘🫘🫘 21. mar. 2016 kl. 5:03
Who voices multiplayer soldier 1?
🫘🫘🫘🫘 21. mar. 2016 kl. 5:00
3:30 "Take this bitch!" is that Aaron Paul?
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 17. mar. 2016 kl. 2:18
@OtonashiYuri
Great then. I've send you a friend request, we can talk about this project more in private.
OtonashiYuri 16. mar. 2016 kl. 20:19
@MJpoland
Alright, as much as that appears to be a lot of work, I'm on board.
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 16. mar. 2016 kl. 3:25
@OtonashiYuri
If you would really decide to help me, making a voicepack would be possible. Fair warning though: it would take at least 10 or so hours of work for you. Firstly you would need to divide the sounds depending on the voiceactor (check which voiceactor has the most lines and then collect sounds only from him). That means listening to each of the sounds a few times to be sure. Then, you would need to translate every of the sound of selected voice we would decide to use (basically renaming sound files into what they say). After that there would be still need to edit specific sounds in order to "create" lines for certain actions. For example, in XCOM2 there are quotes for things like "Alien Facility SIghted". I usually can use something like "There!" or "Stay Alert" for events like this (if ther is nothing better to use), but they are usually parts of much longer quotes.
OtonashiYuri 15. mar. 2016 kl. 19:37
I can definitely help with that, as I'm a native speaker.
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 15. mar. 2016 kl. 3:20
@OtonashiYuri
Those arent exactly translations, they are simply categories of sounds. There is actually no new information in that video for me since the voice files are already named like that once you extract them from the game. I would need full translations for this to work since there are way more different responses that soldiers use in xcom2 - some lines can fit in more than one place, but since I don't know what exactly they mean I wouldnt be able to use them either way.

For example:
Lets say we're in category "Under suppression". Soldiers might be shooting something like "I'm being suppressed" or "I need help" or "They're hitting me hard". I can use first line for suppression events, second one for being flanked, third one for being under fire. If it was in chinese, I would have no idea that I can do that and thats the problem here.
OtonashiYuri 14. mar. 2016 kl. 20:28
If it's not too much work, I think you can also use the Chinese and Russian voice packs from BF4... what do you think? By the way, someone has already put a YouTube video up with all the lines translated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYa1YXjaWCY
V3RTIGO 13. mar. 2016 kl. 22:05
The profanity is REAL, love it :D
Go away 13. mar. 2016 kl. 14:31
Works excellently!
ℛ𝓎𝓋𝓁 ℛ𝑒𝓃 13. mar. 2016 kl. 14:08
Thanks MJpoland! I've been waiting for these voices to be released.
Go away 13. mar. 2016 kl. 10:03
The two other vocies re out now?? YAY! I gotta test this right now!
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 13. mar. 2016 kl. 9:49
As for prospects for additional voices:

1) Unfortunately I dont know how to extract sound files from Bad Company games. I know that some MP based voicelines are avaible on youtube, but there is not enough of them to do a voicepack that is up to my standards.

2) BF3 SP voices dont have enopugh different lines and can't be considered for voicepacks

4) Battlefield Friends - the same reasons as above. The authors of the show would need to record all the required lines themselves, otherwises there is no chance for the voicepacks to be made.

5) Battlefield Hardline - I have extracted sounds on my PC and I'll look into them in the future. I think there is actually a good chance to use them.
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 13. mar. 2016 kl. 9:45
And the remaining voices were added. Please report if you're experiencing any issues with the mod - hopefully update didnt break anything.
〖EN|ES〗【Rancepherius】 9. mar. 2016 kl. 3:43
Hey if you are done or while making this could you make the battlefield friends cast as voicepacks?
Micadi  [ophavsmand] 5. mar. 2016 kl. 5:07
@sgtrock197
Thanks and most likely within a month. I'm working on a few projects simultaneously, but I definitely plan on finishing all of them.
Sgtrock 4. mar. 2016 kl. 23:37
@MJpoland when do you plan on adding the multiplayer voices?
also this is a very nice mod.
