not work in WOTC :bummer:
SkavenKisser 11. aug. kl. 16:47
This mod works after following the instructions, but it seems everytime I launch the game(or maybe turn my PC back on) the edited files seem to remove themselves and I have to fiddle with them each time.
hottt3 22. mar. kl. 23:42
Does it still work?
Idano 19. nov. 2024 kl. 14:40
This should mesh nicely with some of the Allies Unknown mods like the Twi'lek and Asari.

Use One Million Colors, plus its WOTC plugin, and you can set full RGB.
SSOutPhase 23. feb. 2024 kl. 20:29
@ZIGTwisted if you are modding, you should be using the Alternative Mod Launcher. This works fine with Thorke's instructions.
ZIGTwisted 22. jan. 2024 kl. 10:01
mod's busted even after following everything. I don't have a <Documents>\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config\XComModOptions.ini I only have this on Steam and the 2k lanucher. it's sad that all the other color mods work but the main one I want.
ANTHONY FANTANO 4. sep. 2023 kl. 11:06
Does anyone know if there is a mod that allows you to save color presets? I like to color code my soldiers by class and it's cumbersome to go into the color picker each time for every soldier.
Thorke 18. juli 2023 kl. 0:33
worked for LGWOTC.

What I did was review previous comments:
- 1: subscribe to download the package.
- 2: move the folder (629368512) to /xcomgame/mods. you can rename it as "more skins colors"
- 3: In the file
<Steam Library>\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Config\DefaultModOptions.ini
added to the mod list:
ActiveMods="Moreskincolors"

in
<Documents>\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config\XComModOptions.ini
added
ActiveMods=Moreskincolors

thanks to EvilBob22.

Havel the Rock 10. maj 2023 kl. 21:31
As of the time posting this comment, EvilBob22's comment about 3 pages down still works.
MAJR 6. jan. 2023 kl. 19:11
Cant get this one to load in the setup menu.
MAJR 6. jan. 2023 kl. 19:08
芝士小飞 I dont see an UPDATE file in that folder
FlyIN_11 12. dec. 2022 kl. 0:26
guys, if the mod can't find in X2lunch, u can find the configuration files in "steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\629368512", then delete the contents from UPDATE to the end, then it should can be find in X2lunch :praisesun:
Albatross 6. okt. 2022 kl. 14:22
I found a solution that works for me: download the mod from "Nexus mod manager", and install it in the "Mods" folder of the game. The installation process is indicated on the mod page.

EvilBob22 Thank you so much
shardinhand 15. juni 2022 kl. 13:41

shardinhand 8. juni 2022 kl. 23:11
please fix this vital mod to work on wotc when you have time dear mod man ^^ <3
Lythar 15. feb. 2022 kl. 7:28
Mod ran all of once, and then never again, and nothing I do fixes it, even trying to follow instructions written for Windows on a Mac. Can't help but feel extremely disappointed with this.
Cyber the Robot Dragon 23. nov. 2021 kl. 12:20
Is this mod compatible with WOTC?
Grif 10. okt. 2021 kl. 16:32
There is an issue where this mod does not show up in the launcher and disables itself. Someone on the next page of comments found a temporary fix, but the mod still disables itself each time I open the game. It would be great to get an actual fix.
Reki 28. aug. 2021 kl. 13:51
So this mod works for men, which is great cause I finally created my Kit Fisto, but it DOESN'T run for women for me for some reason. I've mostly just got star wars mods and RPG mods, so I'm unsure why this mod isn't working.
XpanD 27. aug. 2021 kl. 14:19
Just finished a campaign with about 280 mods, this one included, and had no major issues! Thanks for putting this up. Did feel like most of the colors ended up way darker than expected, but even with that in mind it's way better than what the base game gives you!
✠ DFSpecter 19. juli 2021 kl. 17:46
It works. It's cursed AF but it works.
✠ DFSpecter 19. juli 2021 kl. 17:35
I looked up a guide and I got it to work, but it feels like absolute black magic to me. I don't know how or why it works it just does and I'm about to test it out.
✠ DFSpecter 19. juli 2021 kl. 17:22
I'm following EvilBob22's advice here. let's see if that works.
✠ DFSpecter 19. juli 2021 kl. 17:18
@Lord_Essedus

It does not work for me, even when I run vanilla Xcom.

You gotta tell me how yours works because I'm half-convinced this mod by itself is an IRL X-file.
✠ DFSpecter 19. juli 2021 kl. 17:09
@Homer_Simpson

It actually doesn't show up in the modlist I think it's a .ini edit but I wouldn't know because as far as I know, it doesn't work for wotc, there's no wotc continuation mod for it, and nobody seems to be interested in fixing it.

I think the mod might b ded, but I don't know!
ColinG13 3. juli 2021 kl. 22:54
I subbed to this mod and it isn't showing up on my 2K launcher. Whoever has it, what is it labeled?
Lord Essedess 9. apr. 2021 kl. 14:20
Never mind it actually did work I just assumed it didn't because it didn't show on the mod list.
Lord Essedess 7. apr. 2021 kl. 7:08
I finally find a mod for exotic skin colors, and I can't even make it work.
Dragon32 24. juli 2020 kl. 16:28
@evilbob22
Clever work, but why not just use the Alternate Mod Launcher?
EvilBob22 24. juli 2020 kl. 14:38
Based on Dragon32's post (per deathbyfruitcake's suggestion), I got it working by editing two .ini files.

In the file
<Steam Library>\common\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\XComGame\Config\DefaultModOptions.ini
added to the mod list:
ActiveMods="Moreskincolors"

in
<Documents>\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config\XComModOptions.ini
added
ActiveMods=Moreskincolors

They had different formatting (one had quotes), but both had the active mods in the first section, under [Engine.XComModOptions] .
deathbyfruitcake 10. juli 2020 kl. 3:56
Spent an hour trying to get this to work. From what I can tell the new Steam launcher will not let you use non-WOTC mods while playing WOTC, or vise versa. But using Alternative Mod Launcher fixed this for me (see Dragon32's post below for link).
kazuya0010 28. dec. 2019 kl. 7:05
Can you please make it compatible with WOTC?
Archivist77 25. dec. 2019 kl. 20:51
WOTC?
mr k 25. mar. 2019 kl. 3:42
aw. i was hoping this would add white to the skin color as in white like a android. like data from star trek or dorothy from big o.
ctzodiac 11. dec. 2018 kl. 8:31
It is really frustrating how this mod randomly stops working sometimes.
Tacit Blue 31. okt. 2018 kl. 0:03
Doesn't work after TLP, anyone else know a expanded skin colour mod that does?
Dragon32 10. okt. 2018 kl. 14:08
@Lalatina Dustiness Ford:
Yep.
Hummy 10. okt. 2018 kl. 13:54
Does this work with WOTC?
ctzodiac 25. sep. 2018 kl. 15:42
This doesn't work for me anymore...oh well.
Matikanefukukitaru 15. sep. 2018 kl. 2:04
@Ichaerus: As Dragon says, this is a vanilla mod...dunno how you can be that stupid or whatever you fucked up. Tried verifying the game-files? Redownloading the mod?
Dragon32 14. sep. 2018 kl. 13:33
@Ichaerus:
Find that hard to believe considering this mod was last updated about eighteen months before WotC was released.
Star Colonel Ichaerus Ward 14. sep. 2018 kl. 4:22
@carmau: Is there a way you can create a legacy(non WOTC) version of your color mods? the versions you have currently are compatible with WOTC, but not for games that don't have the expansion. All the options are missing, and the skin color changed to purple or blue.
Azzla 10. aug. 2018 kl. 23:25
The colors might seem off because the game applies the skin color over the top of an additional base color, which is determined based on the character's race. This is why, even in the vanilla game, the same color option might look different on different people. It's simply how the game is programmed.
Dragon32 31. maj 2018 kl. 11:28
@Alberto Eensteen:
Have you seen the "Customize Soldier Size" mods for both the base game and WotC?
