Try the gamemaps link, it might have a version of those. After TLS update, there's no such thing as "didn't change the pistol icon" because TLS itself changed the pistol icon.

I get that but I have a L4D1 pistol mod and I had a version of this very mod that didn't change the pistol icon because this version conflicts with my L4D1 pistol mod

No, changing the pistols icons was the whole point of this mod in its very first version.

I've done that previously and that not only requires a weapon script, but also a special unlocker, of which there are several in the workshop. So it's not worth it unless it's built into the weapon skin.

Maybe you could add a icon for the riotshield?

Some icons would be extremely redundant changing maybe five pixels compared to default.

Iconsheets are left in for legacy reasons, such as old scripts still referring to these old icons, and also the default gray icons like the Molotov empty slot. I don't mind you uploading an edited version as long as you don't openly claim ownership, but just be aware that having too much of the same addon will make it much more time consuming and confusing in case you want to update it.

Do what you think you need to do.

Weirdly iconsheet.vtf still affects if the item icons show up. I don't know what that's about, I thought that it was a legacy texture.

I know how to decompile and recompile VPKs for mods, I made a personal version of this mod that has every icon except the item icons and CSS weapon icons. I didn't wanna upload it without your permission.

It sucks. It takes time, occupies screen space, and it's a mess to manage, among other things. Moreover, you should learn how to repackage the mods after you add/remove something to/from them, so that you can just take this mod and delete the icon_pistol.vtf from it. Or even rename it in a hex editor if that's your thing.

It would be a lot easier if they were on the Workshop. I could upload every addon and just put it in a collection?

There's a pack of separated HUD icons linked in the description that you can install at your heart's content; why would you bother with editing this?

I am not wasting even a second of my life for a mod that replaces a perfectly fine icon with an icon that only changes one or two pixels. When I have an entire sheet replaced, it makes sense.

Are all the icons included in the separated download? I noticed the description only mentions half of the weapons/items and the zip contents seem to match this.

I finally did it. It took much more time that it was worth, but the separate icons are now available on Gamemaps.

Today's Friday. Well, on this weekend I planned to update some of my more niche mods, which may include this one.

Hi Alex, I'm sure you work really hard on many of your addons and I'd like to thank you for giving so much to the community. I just have a question though, what would be your best guess for when the utility hud icons will be released as a standalone? (This being the medkit, bile, molotov, pipe bomb, pills, adrenaline, incendiary ammo, explosive ammo and defibrillator.)

It's not a bug, the two mods replace the pistol icon, that's why they conflict. It's not a big deal and nothing bad will happen.

No, there will be an entire set of completely separated single icons.

Will there be a set for just the vanilla throwables, health/ammo kits, and pills/adrenaline? I like the icons but the weapon icons conflict with some of my mods.
