Sir Enginseer, this mod appears to break EUI even after replacing the UnitPanel.lua files with the EUI Compatible versions.

It would be great if this could be fixed whenever you have the freetime to investigate and patch the mod.

Lets try this again. There appears to be some conflict between UI-Condensed Promotions, this mod, and DLC unique bonus enhancements. It prevents the condensed promotions fron happening.

Help?
tidavis 23. mar. 2023 kl. 11:35
Could you please provide a bit clearer instructions on what to do with the .lua if you are using eui?
Are you supposed to add the complete eui reformation .lua to the entry or is it supposed to replace.

So far, if I mess with the .lua file at all, i get a ctd. This would not be a problem but the recent update has borked ui condensed promotions when combined with this mod.

A great mod

Thanks, great mod!

Should be.

The picture isn't wrong, but rather outdated. It was changed due to the Vox Populi's Tourism Rework months ago(Civilizations earned tourism from trade routes, great people creation, winning a war, etc).
1000 minus 7 3. okt. 2016 kl. 19:17
My game says this get culture for killed unit. I prefer this over the tourism but I think the picture is wrong cause it says tourism

nearby kills.
Rabid Mongoose 20. sep. 2016 kl. 15:01

Mk Z 20. sep. 2016 kl. 1:52

i REALLY liked this mod, but now its now showing up in my mod list! do you know why that might happen?
Techpriest Enginseer  [ophavsmand] 13. juli 2016 kl. 22:10
@rapsynrev, sorry for the late reply. But the AI will have no idea what to do with it. :d2rubick:
rapsynrev 11. maj 2016 kl. 18:20
lol, stupid me missed the fact that there was a different file to load since I was using EUI :P Problem solved, thanks for the quick reply, by the way! Works fine now! (though now I'm not sure why it ran, with the wrong file, without events and decisions... but ah well)

As a possible future request, would it be possible to do "special" traits for other great people as well? Maybe give them city building random traits (ie gives X boost to production/culture for city if great engineer/writter is "living" there, or boosts production/culture produced by engineer/writter specialists in city, or something like that)? That may make it a more strategic decision to sacrifice them or keep them around that way
Techpriest Enginseer  [ophavsmand] 9. maj 2016 kl. 17:05
I have Events and Decision myself and it works with this mod. Perhaps, there is another mod conflict?
rapsynrev 8. maj 2016 kl. 20:38
I can't get this to work with Events and Decisions. I'm not a modder (though I have done a few minor tweaks to existing mods). Is there a way to deconflict the two? I would really like to use both.
Spaceman27 9. apr. 2016 kl. 10:28
Can you rename the generals and the admirals ?
Techpriest Enginseer  [ophavsmand] 27. mar. 2016 kl. 19:25
The units need to have the same promotions as the general. Meaning you need to wait one turn before killing someone. Khans will definitely work because I've played the Mongols(right now even). Otherwise, send me your database.log and lua.log file when you have combat incidence.
NunquamReverto 27. mar. 2016 kl. 4:47
It may be because I'm using the Mongols (ergo I have Khans and not Great Generals) but my generals and admirals are earning zero experience, and I mean EVER. I have a General who has been on the same tile as a tank, following that tank around since it was still a horseman, and despite more than 50 confirmed kills he still has zero experience.
Jakkuu 26. feb. 2016 kl. 15:15
good
KearbDawg 26. feb. 2016 kl. 7:19
So will this be revised so that ranged units can also get these promotions?
Techpriest Enginseer  [ophavsmand] 22. feb. 2016 kl. 17:17
ONLY melee kills. Ranged units may receive some of the bonuses, but cannot earn experience for the GG and GA. The experience earned differs as the enemy unit killed on the tile is further away from the GG and GA.
NunquamReverto 22. feb. 2016 kl. 5:01
I have a stupid question. How do GG's and GA's gain experience points?
Toheck 21. feb. 2016 kl. 18:54
This is really cool. I was thinking of doing something similar myself, but ended up taking it in a different direction, so I'm glad this was made.
struan233332 21. feb. 2016 kl. 8:08
is there a direct download? Its not downloading on steam :/
BigDaddyBulge 19. feb. 2016 kl. 12:22
Looks good, surprised this hasn't been done before it's a good idea.
Regnorock 18. feb. 2016 kl. 11:54
Loaded again (ancient era) with no problems. Mysteries of MODs I guess?
Regnorock 18. feb. 2016 kl. 11:34
@author Part of my test was to load it as the only mod. I have all DLC enabled and had just did a complete reinstall of the game to remove the Community Balance Patch I had been using. I will be trying it again shortly to see if the problem occurs again.
Techpriest Enginseer  [ophavsmand] 17. feb. 2016 kl. 23:25
If you have EUI, then you might have not replaced the UnitPanel or there is another mod that has the UnitPanel as well. Settlers and the starting soldier having the extra promotion is not on my part because no promotions are similar to that property.
Regnorock 17. feb. 2016 kl. 21:24
Looks cool and gave it a whirl. Started at Information Age and had some weird issues. Namely the unit UI. Settler and Starting soilder had promotions also displayed (limited visability, +3 extra sight, +4 extra sight). If there is something I overlooked for its use or simply a random error.
Praise the Omnissah
NunquamReverto 2. feb. 2016 kl. 7:08
Hmm... Interesting. Bloody strange, but interesting.
friend cube #1 27. jan. 2016 kl. 18:59
@Overlord_C I usually just sacrifice cowardly generals for citadels (unless I'm Vietnam, and have my UU out)
Techpriest Enginseer  [ophavsmand] 24. jan. 2016 kl. 8:32
@Overlord_C, of course why shouldn't a citadel outweigh a Great General?
spazzrights 24. jan. 2016 kl. 5:43
@author Doesnt a citadel still outweigh your new benefits?
Techpriest Enginseer  [ophavsmand] 23. jan. 2016 kl. 21:13
@Overlord_C Yes, of course.
spazzrights 22. jan. 2016 kl. 8:38
Are the generals still consumed when they build citadels?
Danny 19. jan. 2016 kl. 23:14
Well they do give your units a combat bonus already, which can be quite good in a stalemate.
Giving that little edge you need to push through. ^^
