Yes. I'd originally beefed it up to 60 based off conflicting info, when it seems that 60 is normal for storm bolters, not normal ones. It's hard to find a consistent canon answer to how much capacity each weapon has.

I figured out it applies to not just the bolt pistol, but also the laspistols in the lasgun mods. This is because they use "v_weapon.Deagle_Parent" for the bone model, if I could figure out how to replace it with an HL2-only version that'd be great.

Oh, I see, the pistol model error is if you don't have CSS.

Thank you. Do tell me if you spot any errors or oddities. A friend of mine stated they're having trouble with the bolr pistol weapon in that the model isn't working for them, having trouble reproducing this.

You won't believe how happy I am for this update.

It's been a long time, but at least I've gone back to this weapon to give it some much-needed updating. More detailed summary:
1. Overhauled the radius damage to actually use a real explosion, with a minimum arming distance built in.
2. Rebalaned damage a bit, in favor of more damage on direct hits.
3. Slight buff to rate of fire.
4. Allow reloading while some animations are still playing.
5. Let the player fire while sprinting, sprinting still disables aiming down the sights.
6. Misc tweaks to the LUA to make things a bit more responsive.

And very belatedly, after I work on some similar touch-ups for the lasgun SWEP, I might see if I can figure out how to get c_hands support working. Not sure yet how it'll work out nor how doable it is, but worth a try.

No worries. Though that gets me tempted to see because of how rare any decent flamethrower-like SWEP is. I've had rough ideas for how to code napalm behavior, but like most of my ideas I'd be stumped at attempting th barest of details.

I've actually made a functioning meltagun that doesn't suck, along with several other variations of bolters and lasguns. I merely haven't released them yet and unfortunately at the time of making the first 'set' of weapons, there weren't many models available.

And yes, though I did go with storm bolter as the name for the reason that the model doesn't reflect the "two weapons connected" appearance. I'm sadly not that well-versed in the lore beyond basics like that.

Sad thing is I never was able to fix the other weapon model that was in the original mod. I really need to actually look at this again and check for bugd, but I've gone from merely being busy a lot to now having a bricked desktop, and have yet to install GMod on the laptop.

To rectify, the base model is a Astartes Mark Vb Godwyn Pattern Bolter. The only reason why I had a combibolter option is because a combibolter is essentially two bolters side by side. Think of it as a proto storm bolter (which it is).

I seem to be having a repeated error every time the gun shoots:

Ah, sorry. I do recall that yes, I had disabled the crosshair setting, largely to make aiming down the sights functional. If I'd known how to script it up properly, I was tempted to add code when aiming to disable the crosshair and possibly change the FOV.

I should go back to do this, figure out how to do that, and maybe mess with it further. Been distracted from GMod modding by other things lately.

Meep. And in rather belatedly reply, if I recal I had trouble ensuring the damage effect would exclude the shooter if it didn't use the "all players immune" method.

And that sounds tempting, making some orky guns. Has been a while since I last mucked about with these, one of those things I'd been putting off due to distractions. @_@

That would likely be in another addon, as the lasguns addon only took the four that were in Steven's lasguns addon (lasgun and "hellgun" in both white and black).

The original version of this addon also had 2 different weapons, but the other weapon was full of glorious texture errors.

ahh, arighty. And what about the laspistol? Did the lasguns addon have that? Because I have Steven's laspistol SWEPs active, and I couldn't find them in the weapons tab

"explosions deal no self damage" killjoy. what if a space marine wishes to rocket jump with a bolter? that said however, these look like something to keep an eye on you for: it's nice to see somebody doing stuff differently in the workshop every now and then.

Sorely tempting. Knowing me, it's likely going to be tweaked variants of the most competently-done lasgun SWEP I can find, in the same way this one was yoinked.

Which in this case might include two colorations each of lasgun and hellgun. While I'm tempted to go through with it, there'd be less of a purpose to adding it if I can't make it nice and fluffy. >.<

Tempting. Might have to muck about with NPC weapon versions. Still, now I'm stuck at the whole "why is this ejecting spent brass even after I edit the only files that mention shell effects to not eject them" issue. >.<
