Throudin  [auteur] 15 okt 2017 om 7:04
Then disable the sound in the settings.
Burb Peternable 15 okt 2017 om 5:18
dontt install this every time you open up the menu it makes this really annoying sound
Throudin  [auteur] 1 jun 2017 om 11:50
No, because it'd pause time for everyone when ever anyone opens the menu.

i know it says single player only, but could it work in multiplayer if all players had it?

This is a neat mod, I like how it makes the physics slow down significantly whilethe spawnmenu is open. However, there is one flaw I see - whenever the spawnmenu is breifly opened to quickly spawn an object, there is a delay in spawning that object. Solution: Use the Think hook and FrameTime() or a similar function to count how long the spawnmenu was/is open for and judge based on the time whether or not to slow down the physics. Besides that, this is a great mod and I would love to see this change!
Throudin  [auteur] 11 jun 2016 om 10:38
Recent experminentation has shown that the delay when changing of timescales is based on the current FPS, at 60 FPS (V-Sync enabled) there is a noticable delay, at 120+ FPS (V-Sync disabled) the delay is esentially gone, and the higer it goes the better it gets.

MathiusXII:
The (frequently) occasional lag when resuming is (most likely) a thing relating to the Source engine (from what I can tell) and not with the plugin as is the cursor jumping and as such I can (most likely) not fix it myself as much as I would like to. If you need proof, the sound immediately plays after the timescale command has been run and as such when you hear the sound but are still frozen its the engine doing its magic, that being said, I may try looking into a different method of running the command which might possibly fix the lag but no guarantees. I'll let you know when I do.

I like this mod! It helps me when the game is lagging out to be able to go to the admin utilities and clean all so I don't have to restart my game! But the cursor teleports back in time about five seconds after you open the spawn menu and it takes five seconds for time to resume after the menu is closed. Those things annoyed me so bad I had to unsubscribe. I hope you can fix these things!

These sounds are from Mass Effect if I'm correct. >.<
Darian Stephens 22 dec 2015 om 23:05
Brilliant!
I'll be testing it vigorously with far too many mods soon!
Throudin  [auteur] 22 dec 2015 om 18:34
Darian Stephens:

Just released an update for that, great suggestions. SpawnPause now has a menu in the Options tab from the spawn menu. From there you can modify the slowdown timescale(default is 0, 1 is normal speed) and enable/disable the sound.
Darian Stephens 22 dec 2015 om 6:57
Would you be willing to perhaps add a console command to change the amount of slowdown this gives? Personally, I'd probably make it slow down the game to around 25% of full speed.

Ah, I knew it! Sorry for not updating my comment but I fixed it myself by removing Bullettime.

Great addon, very useful for dire situations! :blissful_creep:
Throudin  [auteur] 19 dec 2015 om 7:57
For those of you that have the issue of time not pausing. Make sure you don't have any conflicting addons that also change the timescale (without your knowledge of when they do so). If that turns out to not be the problem then I will look more into an aggressive method of time freezing.
IDDQD_1337 18 dec 2015 om 6:26
How to work this
Fluffypaws, The Fluffy Pawed 18 dec 2015 om 4:08
It doesn't stop/slow time when I use it, yet the sound plays.

@IanM_56
Alright thanks.
Throudin  [auteur] 17 dec 2015 om 15:49
F̷i̴L̷z̶O̷:
Here you go, use the ConVar spawnPauseSoundEnabled to enable and disable the sounds.
filz0 17 dec 2015 om 4:24
Good idea! That's very useful. But could you add ConVar to turn off the sounds?

Prosecutor Lurker#nihilo-satanis:
What the add-on does is set the time scale to 0.0001 (the lowest Source allows) when it 'freezes' time. I have not tested it yet but it should slow down campaign maps too.

Here's a couple troubleshooting tips.
1. Make sure you computer and in-game volume are up.
2. Make sure you are only in single player, which means no multiplayer servers or even local servers. Upon world creation your world must be set to Single Player, not 2 Player or anything else.
I may at some point add a feature so it can be used on servers (that have the plugin of course) only when there is one player online.
Prosecutor Lurker 16 dec 2015 om 23:42
Cute :D

I was wondering if it can disable or freeze env stuff in campaign or i'm just asking for too much.

(The other way is to avoid the trigger boxes which is difficult to do when you can't see them :()
bees piloting human skin 16 dec 2015 om 18:47
The sound is playing, but nothing is slowing down for me?
