I'd love to do more for this mod but I haven't had much time to figure out how to edit it again.

The crosshair thing, I personally always found it cool to not have a crosshair but also harder. If you ever feel like it's too much, I believe cycling the commands in console for crosshair will put it back, or adjusting the hud settings with console as well (which may just put all of the hud back up.) Otherwise, I find it to be a nice challenge since the game doesn't have ADS.

"oh, this mod isn't going to be that bad. i am pretty damn good at l4d." but no, shut the ♥♥♥♥ up. you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot for thinking you can beat this easily. this is some actually brutal ♥♥♥♥. i've stopped hunters in midair, i've solo'd tanks on expert, i've speedrun campaigns on lmor in 10 minutes, and i still can't beat no mercy on EASY with this enabled. i just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can't. so, mr.imgoodatthisgame, you better get a few hundred more hours before you even TRY this ♥♥♥♥.

Also, the chat may not work because I have the HUD settings disabled. When given the opportunity as previously mentioned, I will take a gander.

Apologies for the wait in response, I don't have internet of my own.

But as for the mashing of button to get Hunters off, that's something I could try to learn to implement.
I like the amount of Hunters for now, as it is meant to be played in Mulitplayer and on Expert for the best experience. (It's meant to be super challenging, without the use of most of the special infected.)

Although, I have been unable to test any multiplayer features or even confirm
that multiplayer works between my friends and I.

I appreciate Captain Cronch's response on it though. May I ask how you managed to get it to work?? I would like to resume working on this mutation when I get the chance.

Hmm.. I could do a different upload and add them back, but it'll take awhile due to extremely limited internet access.
I'll get that done in my spare time and come by and upload it.

Can you add survivors back in? Maybe as an optional file?

@insanerr86 I would, but I'd have to do research on how to do that lol. I'd probably make some weird Halloween-ish kinda trees if I did do that. I currently don't actually have internet myself and sort of use it outdoors off of a friend, so even if I wanted to do so it'd have to wait until I get around some stable internet.

Noctis. everything is working perfectly. I got 122 addons all on and working the right way. I even found some that dont work together, but i found a way to force them to work together making 125 addons on at once. i got 1530 hours in game. my L4D2 dont even look like L4D2 anymore theirs only one thing left to change and thats the trees, Could u and/or your friends make them, nobody has made an addon for trees yet. ( i dont want xmas trees). If u could that would be perfect. Thank you

@insanerr86 AI should already be removed.. We did that from the beginning, actually.
If they are still active, please go through your add-ons and be sure you don't have anything conflicting with it and/or adding survivors.

I appreciate the effort, though! We need more of that to make this as best as possible!

If you want to do your best, whenever we can figure out how to allow for online play you'd have to play with your friends.
Playing alone you can still survive if you're fast enough and skilled enough -- and I'm saying that in general. Requires a load of punting Hunters and keeping away from the commons as much as possible. I haven't been skilled enough to complete a campaign in one run but I know it's very possible, just takes time and maybe a load of practice.

Noctis; There is an addon that removes the A.I.s. You can find them in, Fine's Workshop. Theres more then one stand alone addon in Fine,s workshop, but theres a few more if u search the Left 4 Dead 2 workshop, type All Alone in search and you'll find a bunch. I hope I helped!

Removing rescues? Then how will you complete a campaign?

There aren't any bots in this mode, but aside from this mode, then no.
I don't believe there are any mods for that honestly.

If you haven't changed your keys in any way, you should just have to press E on them.

It's a simple mutation. You can access it through the Mutations tab, and it's named "Hardcore Survivalists".
