For any future subscribers wondering why it refuses to lift off, you are building the pad into the ground, changing it from a ship into a base. Y ou must build it on a previously built pad, or in the air via landing gear. As for the launching, if you keep it off the ground and on a flat surface, the launch itself works quite beautifully. Press 1 to launch, once you're outside of the atmosphere and your second boosters detach, press 3 at any point to detach the third booster for your travel pod.

shes a beauty

It Wont Launch. If I may Suggest Something, Build downward facing Connectors, on the launchpad Itself, and landing gears, that way You can Support it without hte wheels Attaching and merging to The pad.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll take a look into it when I can, life is a little busy right now.
karm 18. feb. 2017 kl. 9:18
can you pls update this? when i do stage 1, it doesnt even bother lifting off
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 19. feb. 2016 kl. 4:09
@dave.lister.2 due to how the launch mechanism works it's impossible do that, because the rocket rests on that pad. the only thing that keeps it upright are those connectors.

I won't be updating this rocket anymore, as I have other projects going on right now.
Spacewolf2 19. feb. 2016 kl. 3:35
I'm thinking about building this in survival, but I can't print the ship itself, can it either be merged, thus being one bp or released seperately?
romeno.k 4. feb. 2016 kl. 0:10
wow that lift off is awesome!
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 22. dec. 2015 kl. 3:16
@Derp Dolphin Just timers. I lack the necessary programming skills to make a script. You can find them in the tower base, inside the main corridor.
KilledJoy 21. dec. 2015 kl. 17:25
What script for the countdown is used?
Tango Foxtrot 25. nov. 2015 kl. 13:55
Finally, I'm ready for the Escape from Goni Alpha!

Amazing work!
PUMMA 22. nov. 2015 kl. 20:15
this is the only BP i have been able to get me in outterspace. bravo

Deer Auther How do i rotate the damed thing i dont know how ive tryed the usual controles and they dont work plx help me
HelloProds 21. nov. 2015 kl. 13:28
cargo and crew and only one way into space
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 21. nov. 2015 kl. 11:25
@♛aluxcallejon♛ Who is it for? Lifting cargo and crew into space.
HelloProds 21. nov. 2015 kl. 11:16
who is the rocket ? useless
PotentiallyDodgy 21. nov. 2015 kl. 10:04
@Dark Lynnette if it looks significantly different just upload it nobody is really going to care that much if they do just say the argument u put down there :)
HelloProds 21. nov. 2015 kl. 3:41
yay

iv been working on the staged one directional rocket system before planets where even out. long time? eh. not really. making a large rocket to acomidate a flight path and buildable side addons to acomidate drones to mine uranium and ice. and the emergancy drone bay thats built into the side that houses the one drone if the block is damaged or wut the hell ever else. put in the scripting. the correct timers. and make sure everythings going well. WILE suffering the horrid lag that the beta planets gave wile trying to test the ship was. . . tasking.

im not mad at you. just really bumed the hell out about how some one beats me to the punch everytime. and some how makes it looks astheticly pleasing. i dont mess up much on my builds that make up my time. i just... build and build.
[TSF] Mason 1290 21. nov. 2015 kl. 2:49
can i ask you something?
i make ALL these great ideas. and spend months of full speed and scale development, rarely actually stopping to think of what to do. have things mapped in my head.
and still get beat to the punch... now AGAIN like that drop ship that used pistons as a lift point... i have to scrap the project. or else ill get hate and trolled like i did in gmod "your upload wasnt original -so and so- made it first"
...
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 21. nov. 2015 kl. 1:06
@dogy1015 at this stage... no. I have no idea how to make them recoverable reliably.

@Freddymac I can make some sort of system on the next rocket I make. You would have to use a welder ship though because having a welding wall would just block the sun.
Freddymac 20. nov. 2015 kl. 19:53
Hey i absolutely love it but is there anyway you could add in a way to rebuild the ship through welders or something or putting the ship itself in the projector at the top of the platform so we can rebuild the ship after we return to the planet?
PotentiallyDodgy 20. nov. 2015 kl. 19:31
nice work on revamp quick question are the stages recoverable and reuseable??????
KilledJoy 20. nov. 2015 kl. 16:36
... very much so want to figure out how you made 3 syncronus locks for the ship ... (and what engines are thous...) WHAT AREEE THOOOOOOOOS
ACRONYM 20. nov. 2015 kl. 16:33
been working on a multi stag rocket, the damn gravity is bothering me though, this is awesome, me, ive been trying to make a planetary lander stage
GELtaz 20. nov. 2015 kl. 8:49
@TuntematonSika of course Thanks!
Mallchad 20. nov. 2015 kl. 7:50
Nice, something that really bugs me, is nobody has build a legit survival planet ship that can take off and land with enough fuel, and being energy effecient, and on a large ship scale... Thank you... You've completed half the job that I can't acomplish myself...
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2015 kl. 11:46
@GELtaz of course, go ahead! don't forget to credit me though ;)
GELtaz 19. nov. 2015 kl. 8:08
@TuntematonSika Great Work and thank you for sharing! I might do a video, can I use this blueprint?
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2015 kl. 1:10
@BeeSkee omg thank you so much!!! This has been just absolutely amazing, I never thought I'd get so many views and subscribes on this ship.

Thank you all!

I would say it would be up to the user to set the waypoints. :D You don't have to do everything. Besides, it'll be imported into their world, you basically can't set those waypoints so don't even stress about it. :)
Cherono Lord 17. nov. 2015 kl. 22:30
the idea is that to fit them according to your need, if you are going to lift an heavy cargo container two stages may not be enough.
just uploaded complete version with newer command module (now include nav lights) and with a simple release pod for satellites.
and uploaded example satellites to workshop too :D
you are a programmer btw? ima struggle with writing scripts >_<
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 17. nov. 2015 kl. 22:17
@Gothosan yeah I took a look at your submissions, and my god there is a lot of parts. They're really interesting though, I would say it looks like it's much more survival friendly than mine!
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 17. nov. 2015 kl. 22:12
[BeeSkee] that's possible, but for all I know the pilot launched from the alien planet so now all the modules would be making a space endeavour to earth.
BeeSkee 17. nov. 2015 kl. 21:47
It's possible to make all the parts remote-controlled and to enable automatic recovery in Vanilla - just have the separation timer turn on the remote control with a pre-programmed autopilot waypoint. Yeah the waypoints will need to be pre-made but so will the recovery site so it all works out. :D
Cherono Lord 17. nov. 2015 kl. 17:44
I make similar design :D
I also have a stage rocket ready for testing :)
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 17. nov. 2015 kl. 7:16
@Lonewolf I've thought about the recovarable part, I just don't know how to figure that out. Boosters and Stage 1 could possible autopilot themselves, but you have to add all the waypoints manually. I don't know if there are any scripts that does the job automatically.

Seems like a really good idea, but at this stage of the game I doubt it's effectively possible. If you figure something out you're a god, and I'll add you as an author.
Lonewolf 17. nov. 2015 kl. 5:52
Great fun. Makes me want to go all KSP on it. I have tried adding the atmospheric mod and used it for gliding down unpowered parts for salvage. As an added technical challenge. I would love to see an attempt at a 100% recoverable booster stage. Hard because we don't have parachutes. The boosters need to be either remote piloted drones. That needed to be landed safely through remote control. Or have program blocks with scripts that do the same. Even a timer block that puts on dampener before impact might save something.
TuntematonSika  [ophavsmand] 17. nov. 2015 kl. 4:45
@BeeSkee No, don't have a construction facility. I could make one though.

It's an awesome ship, just one minor glitch. :D Do you already have an automatic assembly/construction facility?
Devil 16. nov. 2015 kl. 18:24
wold be good if it hade an merge block on it
