I was able to find a way to replace the reactor with a new lvl 5 version, it required me removing every surrounding block that would be touching it's "build-bounding box" except it's mounting point. Even the blocks that would only touch the corners and edges. This mod is perfect for running the Mining Beam Drill mod because those drills use so much power each (up to 4.66GW). Thanks again for all the work.

No but I do need to update these many things have changed under the hood in SE and I just have not gotten around to updating these blocks.

I've run into an issue where I wanted to upgrade from a lvl 3 reactor to a lvl 5 reactor but I wasn't able to place the new reactor once I removed the old one. I tried placing the level 3 reactor back and it wouldn't let me. I removed all of the surrounding blocks and had steel plates in hand but couldn't place it. Any ideas?
