Is the mod compatible for Tacyn's Best mods v2?

soooo i merged this with prepared gnomes and now i´m starting with 18 gnomes (9pioneers/provisioners + 9 vanilla startup) and 6 yaks
where did i mess up?

How can I use this with other mods? It only lets me choose base mod. I don't quite understand the mod system.

@LM Not sure what you want to see updated. It works for 1.0. Until I am able to mod the other things mentioned in the description I feel the scope of the mod is as far as it needs to go. For an easier start I believe prepared gnomes gives you more food and a bone needle. The aim of this was to just create a shorter way to make initial professions / military.

To fix the adding instead of replacing, I added the newgamesettings into the Base Mod Folder, worked for me.

I see what you mean. I tested it out by moving the newgamesettings.ini into a submod, while making sure there was no newgamesettings.ini in the main mod, and it does indeed add instead of replace...

If this were to get nested within another mod you would end up with extra gnomes at the start. While that isn't terrible, it would change the scope of what the mod is intending to do. I would have to look into the text files to see how much is changed in newgamesettings.xml to see if this could have Glassworks nested within it. The other option is that the small amount of changes I've made get added to a new version of Glassworks. They aren't wholly incompatible mods, it just is difficult given the current state of multi mod support.

@AngryGiant, you could make two variants. 1: Standalone, 2: to be inserted into Glasswork's included mods folder, and then in the second variant, add the glassworking skills to your profession.

Mods can be nested in folders, though I haven't gone through and gotten one to work yet. You have to do it manually for the time being. Best way to figure it out is check the official forum. There's instructions on how to do it. Not sure this will work with other mods unless you manually merge them in the text files.I'm working on figuring out what I would have to do to make this merge because I like to play with glassworks. For now I believe mods would be able to be nested within this, not sure if the other way around.

Are you going through advanced setup and selecting a mod before you generate the world?

Hi there

Having a bit of trouble getting the mod to work. Have subscribed and the file have downloaded but when I generate a game it doesnt seem to have changed the professions or military settings.

Any idea how to fix?

I have the ones that he put within the youtube comments. As of now there is no way to setup job priorities, just to set it to the two starting professions. I suppose you could start out with 15 gnomes with specialized job skills, but that takes away the first 2 seasons. Hopefully someday the rest of my goals will be able to be changed. For example, Military import/export isn't saved in the same format as professions so it can't be loaded in at the start.
