also id settle for something that makes the Mothership a PROPER armed fortress like they should have been from the start. i mean seriously? that MASSIVE hull and all there is, is a few tiny point defense guns, that dont even do decent point defense
A bug, because at least in the original game I remember going through the campaign and manually fixing the mission files when something broke.
And then I recently stumbled upon this mod (before that I was mostly familiar with the Complex mod) and was very pleasantly surprised (this mod won my heart). And I would like this mod to be embodied in Homeworld 3.
But what about scenarious? Or i should play different version of PDS for that?
Is there a way to fix it?
@Neutrino: I didn't have that problem. I played that mission just now before posting and it was ok - I still can't save Bishop 2 :( But the mission completed ok without technical issues (I did lose that free destroyer transport). I'm playing on MSI-GS63 with GTX1070m card. That reminds me... If you're using a NVIDIA card on a laptop, don't forget to set up homeworld2.exe in the NVIDIA Control Panel to use your graphics card. The default is to use the IGfx card. That might fix your problem.
I tried it out and found 2 issues so far.
Campaign mission 2 crashes.
Cause: ship\sp_tanker3\sp_tanker3.ship file has invalid lines.
Fix: sp_tanker3.ship should be a clone of ship\sp_tanker\sp_tanker.ship
Player vs CPU crashers
Cause: missing build.lua and research.lua for "Random" player.
Workaround: Always select a faction for the computer player.
Homeworld in general has a lot of obscure central-Asian/Middle Eastern/Indian naming conventions, so it's fits that scheme. Some are lifted right out of the Bible (Kadesh, Gehenna, etc), and Middle-eastern history (Abbasid).
