If I understand it well (not native English speaker) seminar is kind of training.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about that :) It just seems odd to me.

I just figured that these might be commodities that would be regulated throughout the universe, and as such getting them outside of the proper official channels would require going to the black market.

Actually why black marketers? Seminars seem to not be something illegal.

Hello, this looks great thank you for it. Just to clarify, the version here on the workshop is the version maczalman updated to 4.3 right?

@raz334 I haven't played for ages, but I think you can get around that using the sector map. In the map, select the station, and I think you can drill down to each of the sections that have people. You can then find black marketeers and push whatever the button is to comm them and see what they have. Hope that makes things a little easier for you.

Desirable cheat version: gaurentees the availability of seminars in every black market trader.. they are hard enough to find, you have to acctually search each docking port on foot...

Hi Haribo73. It should be compatible with 4.30, but as I don't play anymore, the update was supplied by someone else.

There is also a link in these comments (one of maczalman's comments) where his fixed version can be found, though that should be the same as this one as he's the one who kindly supplied the updated version.

Does your download include everything for the mod to function? If so I can either change this to your version, credited to you of course, or just put your download link in the description if you'd prefer to 'take over' so to speak. Or if you want to set up a workshop item for your files, I can link to that from here too. I don't have much intention of getting back into Rebirth, so I'm not likely to want to support it if it requires it in the future.

In version 4.30 this mod does not work due to changes in the game. I adapted it to version 4.30.

I am playing in english. It was working in 4.10, and now in 4.30 it does not show Virtual Seminars on the Black Marketeer list. However, it still gives me the option to "stop selling virtual seminars" when talking to a black marketeer (which I never used), so one part is still working.

Hey there. Haven't played Rebith for a longtime now. How is it not working? Just not showing up, or causing errorrs? Also what language are you playing? I'll reinstall to have a quick look and see what's what. If it's a simple fix, I'll get a new one up.

i find a little bug for localized game, if you dont make all localized text files with all id languages ( no matter whether they are translated or not ) we dont see the text for uninstall your mod ( juste the page id ) when we speak with the black market vendor

i make a topic with french translation , I hope that others will post their translation too ;)

If it's the uninstall thing I mentioned, I might have a fix for it, but it will require updating the mod. If you have made a 0001-L039.xml file with the Italian translations, if you want to send it to me I can include it with the update.

Three traders in a row without any seminars is still possible, but it is pretty unlikely. Is this a new game start in V4 or continuing from a 3.6 save? If you haven't already, can you try going to a different zone and checking other traders?

Also, at any point in this save game have you uninstalled or removed the mod and then reinstalled the mod? That might cause the items to not display in their trader inventories.

I'm afraid I'm going to be pretty busy this weekend (my 40th birthday), but there are some good modders already in that discussion that might be able to help you directly which would be quicker than I could over the next few days.

Hello strudo76 the location I've solved by changing the file and added my location, I did several tests awfull in adjacent areas, but with the 4.0 no longer worked.

Hi Skonvolt. It looks to be a localisation issue for the first two screen shots. I've only made English text. I believe those readtext entires are what happens when the game looks for text references that aren't available. I'd assumed that it would just default to the English if other languages weren't provided. I'll have to chat to some friends in the forum and see what I can do about it.

Has this only been a problem for you since upgrading to V4.0? Was it working in previous version for you?

The last screenshot might not be a problem. Not every black market trader will have seminars every time. There is a percentage chance of seminars being listed, so it is possible that a particular trader might not have any.

Hi guys, I just got to downloading the non beta V4 and HoL release, fired up a new game and found a black marketeer selling seminars. So everything appears to be working as normal. I'll start playing again now that the new things are available, so if I come across anything out of the ordinary with this mod, I'll get onto it from there.

mikl2001, if you're following along, are you still having problems or have they been taken care of by the full (non beta) release?

Hmm that's a problem. I haven't been playing this lately. I'll probably take a look when the V4 goes release and the DLC enables, since I don't dabble in the beta versions.

No worries. In the vanilla game, you need to craft a gift item, win a small talk mini game, give the gift and play another small talk mini game. It's a lot of effort, and after your first 100 small talk mini games, it gets pretty repetitive. I just wanted a way to get them without going through all the run around. Hope you enjoy the mod!

Ah OK. I didn't add a description on how to use the seminars as they are part of the vanilla game and used the same way. This mod just provides another method of getting them instead of playing the mini game, then the second mini game.

I typed a big explanation on how to use them, but Steam says only 1000 words for a comment, so I'll add this information to the mod description for you and anyone else interested.

Could you edit the description saying how to use the seminars... maybe I just didn't look hard enough or do everything, but I couldn't use the seminars on employees in the back of my bargain bin ship, or actually know how to use them.

It's not huge, but I like it.

This is an excellent idea, right up there with purchasing trade subscriptions. It still takes a little looking to find the ones you want, as well as a little money (as it should), but it removes an enormous amount of this game's tedium. Thanks for this.
