I just published an updated version that allows tribals to salvage some of the buildings from captured castle holdings.

The mod can not be used to get achievements, just a warning.
But excellent mod, it did not help me nevertheless on my other playthroughs.

This mod works, i assume people who claim it does not did NOT read thru description thoroughly.
You can only convert capital of county and only when you own it, and you must already have that type of holding in county (you cant convert temple to city if that is the only temple).

@Dr Chaz It's true you can destroy holding as a tribal/nomad ruler in the base game, but the convert settlement part of the mod is not in the base game.

To answer a common question: This mod is technically already in base game.
Right click on the holding > Pillage Holding:
"Start Pillaging this Holding"
"While Pillaging this Holding the revolt risk of the entire Province will be increased significantly, but in exchange you will receive the following every 6 months 'UNTIL THE HOLDING IS COMPLETELY DESTROYED':"

The abality to destroy holdings that are not of your government style was added in horselords, all you need to do is right click on the holding and select pillage.

Ahh, darn. Nice mod, but can't use it in my current play through sadly. I've got another mod that adds a bunch of unique buildings to places that had them. Tried to convert Rome into a castle but it lost all the special buildings from the other mod when I did it.

Is there an easier way to convert a county's second castle to a city other then giving the city to your mayor/priest (transforming the main thing to a city/temple) and then revoking it, then converting that to what you want?

could you please post previous versions of this mod, i use a total conversion mod that i adore, and would like to use this mod too, but since the other mod doesnt update often, and this updates quicker, i usually have to turn this mod off, id like to use both, justa sking.

Is there a way to destroy settlements in provinces where there are only 3 or less holdings already filled? I'm trying to do a "convert the world to tribalism" game and those provinces are preventing me from fulfilling my dream of destoying the reformed religions and civlizations of the world!

I don't understand how long I have to wait as tribal for the decisions to destroy holdings to appear.
Sometimes it's instantaneous after conquest, sometimes several years...

Hey all! Sorry for the radio silence, I was a bit busy IRL. At the general demand I finally managed to find the bug that allowed the AI to use the decision. It should now be fixed and you should no longer see Rome and Constantinople ruined by AI.
